My date has been changed

My surgeons office called me this morning. My date has been moved up on account of my surgeon has to go out of town two days after my surgery and he does not want to leave the area so soon after my surgery so he is moving it from 21 Apr 08 to 18 Apr 08. Two weeks today....I'm getting nervous. I have read some have started a liquid diet for two weeks prior to surgery. Since I am seeing dietician on 7 Apr 08 I figured she would tell me what to do, but not surgery is moved up and it wont' be a full two weeks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It really depends on your surgeon's preference. I dont have any specific diet to do before surgery. I was told two things, not to gain any weight and to stop using anti inflammatory drugs. Other than that, he told me to enjoy myself and try not to stress. You will have to wait and see what your nutrtionist says, but I would assume your surgeon wouldve told you that you needed to do a liquid diet ahead of time.
