April Fool's day has always been my favorite day, it will now be my new bday!!!!
Hi Mica,
That is my surgery date too, April 1. I am having it with Dr. Jones in Boston. I'm getting nervous and excited too. I went today for my appointment with the anesthesiologist. All went well. This is it until the surgery . I'm having the lap band. What type of surgery are you having? We will have to keep each other posted. Good luck! I'll say a prayer for you.
I too am having the lap band. The pre op diet is killling me right now, I was so hungry tonight. I had quiet a bit of food, but it was pprotien , so I hope that is ok. I am so nervous. I did my blood work today, it's almost here, only 13 more days, (the same amount of time it took my insurance to approve) Must be my lucky number!!!!
I had my blood work today too. I have horrible veins. They had to take it out of the top of my hand. Ouch!! The guy said it will probably take them longer to get my IV started than the surgery itself. I know what you mean about the food. I have been on the special diet for two days. One real meal and three replacement meals. I'm having a hard time finding the time to exercise. How about you? What are you doing for exercise? Let's keep each other posted on how we do.
April Fool's day is my and my husband's date, too. We had to but Medifast meals for 2 weeks pre-op. In a day it's approx 650-700 calories, 70-80g protein, Carbs 70-80g, fiber 22-26, and fat 8.5-13.5g, so far. We can also eat SF popscicles(limited) and SF jello. I've been working on our menus for the pureed portion of the diet post-op required by our dietician. It's turned out to be alot harder to figure 1/4-1/2c portions than I thought. But it also made me realize that we are talking tablespoons of food post-op. My husband just talked about making a spot in the basement to exercise! He's never said that before.... There's hope for him yet... Good luck June..
