Not much going on for me.  Still maintaining, at 142 this morning.  Still struggling with the drinking,  but stress level should decrease in the next month or two and I can get rid of that crutch

Good morning one and all. I am back to normal as I quit my second full time job. It was just too much and I missed my life.
I realized that the clothes I wore last year at this time are big on me,not by nuch, but definitely noticeable. So, although I haven't lost an ounce since last summer, my body is a little smaller. That makes me happy. yesterday I completely a walk for ALS. I never would have been able to do that prior to surgery. I am always trying to remind muself of where I was and where I am now. The pounds may not come off, but that's OK. maintaining is certainly a successful accomplishment.at least for me!
I hope everyone is well.

Shar

I think when we lose so much weight like we did is like picking heavy fruit on a tree and now that we hacve heast the fruit (weight loss out bodies are adust to less weight on our bones and take our bodies to adjust to less weight and the pain is from the dramactic weight loss. I still have pain in my tummy /back when i have a rigerious work out .Just make sure u r not lacking calcium and maybe ask your doc for bone density scan. My hubby found out even with daily 600 miligrams and vit d and  once a year Iv infusion of reclasp he is still getting bone loss from his gastric by pass. His symptoms were pain in the hips, Even with supplaments  and he was extrenlu good about taking them was not enought to prevent bone loss. He fights it and boniva was not help and reclasp has slowed bone loss but still and grave concern  for him he continues to lose 4% a yesr
GOOD LUCK Camai

I had WLS April 2007. Started at 310, went down to 215 and now am at 222. I am having many of the same concerns that I see on here.. weight gain, not being motivated to adhere to the pouch rules.. and now I am having terrible pain in my hips and thighs. It feels muscular. Stretching helps as done a warm bath. any ideas? I don't feel like the pain is coming from within the hip itself.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!!   I'm still holding strong at 145.  Not sure how.  Doc said I should weigh 130 also,  and I already look like that melted candle.  As long as I keep my clothes on I look great.!  Hubby wants me to go see him in Seattle this December,  it would be the last time to see him before they deploy.  I don't know about that.  Seattle in December,  I think my florida body would freeze to death.

Hi A team . I am gonna get this stated since I know a few of you like to report how u r doing this week. I had a good week I am down -3 lbs this week. I been hitting the gym with a fellow lap bander she is only a year out and I admire her deterimination of the early drive I use to have I know I fight my self. I guess I get so complacent on my weight loss and she has give me the kick start I need and mometium and drive I been lacking.I feel real good from being 176 (the weight I gained  )  a month ago to 164 lbs . I just love having a fill.. keeps the hunger at bay and gives me the tool to keep working. I am hoping to see 150 something by the holdays. I think 147 is so far away but hey seeing 150 something would be heaven.. My doc thinks 130 somethig is where I should be based on my tiny frame . But at 130 something I would just look like a melted candle with all the excess skin.. I got such tiny arms and legs.. I guess being really petite built
is not how I saw or really see yet  myself. I look at the old me and I am thinking .WOW!!!

LAST WEEK 167

Sorry I didnt post earlier this week. I was in the hospital again :(
Same old crap, pancreatitis. Has anyone heard of other people getting this after gastric bypass?? I am seriously hating life right now. I have lost 11 lbs in a month. Cant eat without throwing up. I had my levels drawn again yesterday and they are climbing again. I am scheduled on the 9th to have an MRCP done. Im also trying to get packed to move at the end of the month.
Stress is probably going to kill me if the pancreatitis doesnt :(
Shar Im sorry to hear about your wrist. I hope you are getting along better.
Will try to make sure and check in on Sunday.

I had a pretty good week.  I stayed in the range of 145 to 150.  The doc's goal wa 130 so that's pretty good.  Hubby been gone one week.  I wish I could miss him but not yet.  How do you keep a marriage together when you are too angry to even try?  I just keep going through the motions of what I am supposed to do.
