Topic: Why does life throw us curve balls?
Well As many of you know I have been stuck at 184 for some time now and I am just now getting comfortable with my new body, Well now it is safe enough to deal with other problems? I am having some major troubles in the home front and I think it is strange that now I am not scared or upset. I am calm as can be. Well anyways I just wanted to see is anyone else going through this also? Troubles that have been going on for some time and now I am strong enough to deal with them? Well anyways everyone take care and talk to you soon I hope.

Topic: RE: Sunday Weigh In
Well, Im ashamed to say that I havent joined in the weekly weigh ins for over a month I guess life is just really busy for me right now. I got a supervisor position at my job so I am working lots of long hours. I also had a little scare with my yearly ct scans when they found something in my sigmoid colon. I am having an upper and lower endoscopy on June 2nd so they can take a biopsy. I also saw my surgeon who says I was his best gastric bypass patient ever!! He said in 13 months I have lost 100% of my excess body fat and I have lost more than he expected me too. That made me feel great Here are my stats: Highest 276 DOS 263 April 13th (Last weigh in) 132 Today 132 So I have maintained 132 for over a month now. We are going to florida for a vacation in July, first time flying since Ive lost weight. I am excited. I am even going shopping today for a tankini ~

I felt and surely will feel the same way again. I don't understand how weeks and months of lower than your BMR intake can not result in a loss, but my surgeon did say that our bodies want rest and during that time they re-sculpture. That's why we lose inches and not pounds during what we consider stalls. Have you measured? Are you wearing a smaller size even though the scale hasn't budged? I didn't move and/or went up and down the same 2-3 pounds during the 2 months I stalled but I lost a pants size. My surgeon did lower me from 1200 to 1100, but that has been the only change I made this week, by eliminating a snack. I am going to measure myself today and every month thereafter even if i am not losing - I hope this will help me stay focused over the next year. I know it's not much help, but stick to your program, the weight will come off again, we aren't done, I promise you that. Inky

I am so with you on the same page .. on this.. No way am i eating 2000 plus calories and yet i am stuck as well I know I am not a Rny but a weight loss is weight loss and a stall is a stall no matter what surgery u had. I did my blood work and it is awesome as far as labs. No thyroid issues, I am sick of exercise and I eat protein first.. can u see why diet failed us? I just hate the TOTM UP DOWN . TRUELY we have a metabolic issues realted to obesity and that factor is something we cannot change. So little is written on our genes to be heavy.. what r we doing wrong? I so much realte with u..
