Topic: Thinking about having RNY in India
Hi,
I was reading your blog. My name is Renee Im 29 years old and two yeas ago I had Lap band surgery and I have had many complications since then. My latest complication is port malfunction. I have been trying to get my insurance company to either revise the band or approve me for gastric bypass, but they will not they claim it is not medically necessary and that they only pay for one surgery per lifetime. They also claim that they do not pay for complications. I have hired lawyers and tried for a year now to get them to reconsider, but I have had no luck. I cant afford to have surgery in the US so I was considering going to Mumbai, India. I would like some advice from you if you have time. I'm a nurse but I am very scared about going out of the country, but I know I can't live the way I'm living much longer I am now 250 lbs and I am 5'3" and I am very discouraged. I have hypertension, I have pains in all of my weight bearing joints and my life is work and home because I feel so ugly.

Topic: BACK FROM SURGERY AND A NIGHT OF HELL
Well the surgery was 100% sucessful just the effects of anathesia were so bad OMG the vomiting was so bad I peed my self when I was worshiping the porcelin Gods. I had a bad headache as well. I just wanted to die last night and man my band took a beating and my stomach is so sore.. today I FEEL weak today and not able to really eat still kinda nausaded but I am taking in fluid nicely..surgery was held up due to they needed to run a pregnancy test and I STARTED MY PERIOD THAT MORNING grrrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL How embarressing Doc came up to me and says congradualtion u r not pregnant and now we can proceed with the surgery Oh man.. everyone was talking about 49 year old woman waiting on her PREGNACY TEST.
Pain is not as bad except when I move it and that is suppose move it every day but not as bad as i had thought, My shoulder is so black and blue from the manipulation. Looks like beat me up

I am so sorry to her about furbaby.. So young and yet she probally had the best years of her life with such a loving owner. So hard to put down a pet. So hard to do that but when all u do is see them suffer it is the right things to do. You are in my prayers, ONCE AGAIN I AM SO SORRY FOR YOU LOSS

best wishes for ya! and remember the weight gain will be from the fluids and swelling and as fast as it when on you will get it off! of course hoping you don't gain anything!!

All you dog lovers will understand this.
I have to put my furbaby, Bridget, down today. She is an Airedale only 6 years old. She has been so sick for the past 9 months, I can't let her go on any longer. The pain is so deep. I will be taking her in a few hours. Please say a prayer for my little girl.
