Hi everyone! I loved reading your updates. It really makes me see that I'm not alone-there's a wide spectrum of losing patterns with us. Like Shakeira, I haven't lost any weight in several months. My lowest was 183 for about 2 days, then I bounced up to 189 and have been stuck there for a long time. My highest was 293, and I'm only 5' 2". All, and I mean ALL, of my comorbidities are gone. I am so much more active now-I love working on my house and in my yard and not feeling tired. I hardly watch any TV any more, and am actually considering cutting out cable altogether. That is huge! I wear a size 8-12 pant, depending on the brand, and a 14-16 top. In the past year I got a much better job, and married my boyfriend of 7 years. It's been a whirlwind! I now wear contacts instead of thick glasses, and I put on makeup every day and do my hair. I feel much cuter and feminine now. A lot of bad habits had starting creeping back into my life, such as white bread, alcohol, pastries, and ice cream. I have banished them again because I am determined to lose this last 50 lbs. The big news now is that my husband and I are working furiously on getting our finances in order. We are tired of being in debt and living beyond our means, so we have made some radical lifestyle changes. I feel that debt is like obesity, or even clutter in your home-it's a result of short-term thinking, or an "instant gratification" mindset. We are working on getting lean in every way now!

Hi all,

I am maintaining my 126# weight loss for about a month now...
Preop 243

Now I just have to keep working on toning up all the loose skin...amazingly my arms look better than my legs/butt so far.

HI! I am here too! Back from not checking this site for about 1-2 months due to keeping really busy. Partly because I have more energy after losing 126# (yes I am a few pounds below goal.) Partly because money is tight and I am watching my kids on my days off instead of having them goto daycare so I could have time to take care of myself. Either way... I am trying to be good, eat right, and exercise 3x/week. I love the new me and hope I can stay this way for a very very long time!
Take care all,
Dianne
Topic: RE: calling all April 07 surgery Group Has any seen crystal? or Allie? the guys? ETC
Hi all!
I am back from a hiatus of sorts...I can gladly say that I have been a victim of the success of my RYN and with all the extra energy, I have been BUSIER than ever because I can now get up and go go go! (well, most of the time till I fall over and find myself trying to figure out why I am so tired!) Anyway, I haven't been checking this site for a few months but am glad to be back!
See ya all on the April board!

Dee U have lost the amazing amount of weight . My back is what got me to finally motivated to lose the weight I have arthritis in my lower back so After working as a emt for years and lifting heavy people like me my age and how bad they looked and I thought if I continue on that course I will lose a leg or something with my diabetes out of control . My changing point was when I picked up this man out of his home for treatment for obesity. He was 650 lbs and his poor petite wife could no longer take care of him her back was warn out from hoisting him etc. The guy was a very kind gentleman and he knew he had lost control of his life and he was embaressed as he was sitting in feces and maggots were crawing around the rotting folds of his skin..
It took 3 of our ambulances out of service to load him up and cart Him to the Er The neighborhood came out to see the poor fat man being loaded up We had to form tarps outside to protect his privacy and the sheets could not cover him I was the attending EMT on that call and I was 283 lbs and as I was riding in back with him in ambulance He said I wish someone would say what I am about to say to you Do something about your weight before it becomes out of control, I was your size about 10 years ago and I hurt my back and look at me now. So it was one of my turning point to lose weight

Holding steady at 150. Good week. Had the WHOLE family down for Mom's 87th birthday. That's one of Mom's nieces, two of her four grandchildren, both her sons and daughters-in-law, two niece-in-laws, and three of Mom's great-grandchildren, including the newest who is two months old. I'm tired.

Dana Tores...good one. I am very happy I am inspiring people, but please make sure you check with your doctor and get his/her permission first. I don't want there to be hidden heart issues or anything like that...
Having said that, you go ladies!!!!
