Good Afternoon Everyone,

I have posted for a couple weeks now. Not much to tell. But this week I am down a couple of pounds. Not sure why though, I haven't changed anything. But it breaks the stall that I have had for about 4 months now.

I had a gain of 3 lbs this week!  Totally my fault. Too many carbs not enough protein. I just don't know why I ever started to eat carbs again??  I will not get fat again!  I will be better this week.

Take care everyone,

Joni

Well I am doing the bouncing game again. Last week I was 127.5 and today I am 129.5
Working tons of hours at work and I know that I am not getting enough to eat. I am going to make a conscious effort to do better this week.
Have a great one everyone.

I'm moving slow but actually home on a sunday morning. I managed to put some weight back on after my surgery. I have been holding steady at 156 for the last week. I do have some head games. Once I went lower-even though it was due to illness, I really have to make peace with putting some weight back on. Having always been in a weight loss mode for my entire life, it is hard to adjust to my new reality. It just shows me I still have some unhealthy body image issues which I did not think I had!
I have finally been cleared to get back to riding. I can not believe how much tone I lost in only 4-5 weeks. I have made a couple runs on my horse and yikes, I have to shakes after. My legs just do not have the strength in them yet. Best part is, my mood it lighter now that I'm back to riding.
Hang in there A Team. The journey is a lifetime not a sprint.....

Congrats Lisa! This is such a huge achievement and it is wonderful that your program recognizes it.

On no! This is not a good sign. It is almost noon here and no one has started the weigh in for me. I thought for sure it would have been posted. Come on everyone.....we need you!!!! I am very busy cooking for the Jewish holidays...but I am substituting splenda into everything I cook. My guests will never know the difference. For those of you who celebrate the holiday.I wish you and your family a very sweet and happy New Year...L"Shana Tovah

Topic: My graduation ceremony....
Last night the Center For Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent Charity Hospital hosted a 1 year graduation ceremony for all patients who were 1 year post-op and reached their goal weight. It was a proud moment when I walked across the stage to hug my doctor and receive my diploma and special gold pin. They had a big screen up that played in the background as we walked across the stage that showed our before & after pictures along with our total weight loss we achieved. They served a delicious dinner complete with yummy sugar free cheesecake that was so good. Everything was so elegant & fancy I felt like a queen for a night. Plus they had music & dancing after dinner...it was so much fun! I attended with my father who was my biggest fan throughout my weight loss journey. Unfortunately, hubby had to work and my mother could not attend due to a recent surgery she underwent. But dad and I had a blast and it felt so good to see how proud he was of me. It was great hearing about everyone elses success stories and seeing how far they've come. Overall it was a great event, one that I'll treasure forever!

I post a few pics of the ceremony on my profile page.
