A panni is so very worth it, no matter the cost or the initial pain.  I had one many years ago after losing from 280 to 240, and I immediately felt so much better.  No more rashes, no more heavy skin hanging down in front.  I am so happy for both of you Lisa and Dee.  (Now that I've lost another 90, I'm waiting for my own plastic surgery.)

And yes, we'd like befores and afters.

This has got to be a dream of mine for years to cut this extra skin off for How many countless hours in mirror i would dream of if I could only cut off this gut I i would look so much better as i was lifting this huge and i mean huge apron in my hands dreaming. Was SO bad hanging apron  that i have  bone spurs on my lower back from carry all this excess pannus and it is huge pannus. It will be worth the pain. I have this huge appendectomy scar 11 inches  that will go away and that was a constant reminder  of the failure of my old swim days was cut short when I made it to olympic trials  doing the butterfly and was cut short whem my appendix ruptured. Dec 8th will be the rebirth of my new body and apri 1 2007 was the day I decided I was never gonna be the fool about being morbid obese again.

I will owe my Doc 2000 as he is billing me out of network so he charges 4,500for his fee and 60%  my insurence  will pay and the hospitial will be in net work so that is all i will have to pay.Thankful as I have that saved up. My  tax return money will be used for a Boob job in 09, My daughters are teasing me I am gonna look like the bride of chuckie. they are just jealious I am gonna look like one hot momma LOL Ask the hosptial for undue hardship and show them undue hardship it puts on the family income  and we did that and they reduced are medical bill by 80% of our deductiable  we owed  really helped us

I stopped tracking formally. I follow these guidelines: 1. mentally add up the protein and get to 70g minimum per day, 2. measure volume, 1-1.5c per meal, 3. planned meals and snacks, no munching/grazing. I also started eating a mostly vegan diet about a month ago (I say mostly because I still eat fish and eggs 3-5x per week for the protein). Switch to vegan was for health benefits, not politics so I am not strict. I was surprised that within a week of starting a plant-based diet, my stomach completely flattened out (no bloating). Here's what today looked like:

Breakfast: 1c Kashi Go Lean w/ 1 packet splenda, 1/4c sliced strawberry and 1/2c light vanilla soymilk (~15g protein)

9am: Soymilk latte (~6g protein)

10am: 1oz almonds and 2 homemade SF/WW banana walnut oatmeal cookies (~8g protein)

12pm: Salad with spinach, beets, shredded carrot, peas, garbanzo beans with FF raspberry dressing and 1c homemade vegan chili (~15g protein)

5pm: 2 more banana cookies (2g protein)

7pm: Protein shake made with soymilk (~30g protein)

9pm: WW pita with 1/2c spinach, shredded carrot, FF sesame dressing and 4oz trader joes flavored tofu (I forget what kind), 1 square dark chocolate (~20g protein)

Anybody know how many carbs we can have per day? I think my intake is kinda high.... but I'm not sure how many we are allowed to safely have each day.

Ok I've tracked my meals for the past 3 days and here's what I've come up with.....

Protein per day - anywhere between 50-70 grams a day
Carbs per day - anywhere between 70-100 grams a day (need to lower that amount)
Calories per day - ranges between 1,000-1300 a day

Menu for one day.... but it varies.

Breakfast: 2 scrambles eggs with cheese, 2 cups of coffee

Lunch: grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread with tomato, onion.

Dinner: 1/2 cup spaghetti with sauce & 4 meatballs

Snack: 1 bag of micro popcorn (munched on throughout the day)

Mary it's funny you should bring this up. I just got back on my sparkspeople.com yesterday and started tracking what I was putting in my mouth. I had a feeling I was sneaking way too many carbs in my mouth without even thinking about it. So, I decided to start tracking what I eat for a while just to see how many calories, proteins and carbs I've been eating a day. Sparkspeople keeps track of it all. You just add your food item and it will calculate everything for you. Yesterday I didn't do too bad which surprised me. I thought I was doing much worse than what I really was.

I'll post my menu when I have more time. Right now I'm off to take my daughter to the doctors.

Topic: Panniculectomy APPROVED

Well my prayers were answerd and the the insurence has approved my  panniculectomy and will have it in Dec. It was soooooooooooooooooo easy The docs office said she never had one approved so fast before and i said after seeing my pics I am sure they were thinking this poor lady her tummy just hangs to her thighs and she lost the thong in that pic.. omg a guy was looking at the pic and she kept refering to a he .. but I don't care as long as it never gets on internet and it is approved. Also will take care of my hernia as well. So hard to beleive this is gonna happen more excited then my lap band I keep pinching my self is the end of my long journey comming to a close...I am gonna feel so much better not having all that excess skin hanging down and bounce when I work out

I feel like I won the lottery
