Shakeira!!
OH MY Gravy!! You look amazing!! I think you are seeing yourself as the old you which is very common for Wls patients. As a matter of fact that is one of the biggest promblems with anorexics they see their self as being big when they are sickly thin.
You look amazing you have awesome cruves you look very nice in your picture outside! The shirt is not tight and it look very flattering in it! It fits you like it should! I still look in the mirror and yes I see curves but I see hangging skin and wrinkly thighs. I am trying to stand in the mirror and tell my self I am beautiful and worth being loved. Ok no I am not a hippie just trying to change my thinking!! you truly are beautiful! hang in there girl!

Topic: RE: What's your daily menu look like??
Thanks. I had to stop and really think about how to get in more fruits and veggies. I had a lot of problems with constipation (sorry, TMI) but once I increased the fruits/veggies and cut back on animal protein, I am now at the opposite end of the spectrum. I am heavily supplementing for protein with shakes and soy-based products. My main concern was the antibiotics and hormones in animal protein and the fact that my meals were almost all animal-derived protein (meat, chicken, dairy). I work for a company that makes products to support treatment of colon cancer which made me start thinking about my own risk factors. Colon resections seem very unpleasant :-)

Thanks for your kind words! I can't wait to see how well you do after your tummy tuck. My biggest hindrance is my upper arms. I can't even wear a short sleeve shirt. They are really deformed. My pani does hang down, but not too bad. I guess I should be thankful for that.
I put up some new pictures on my profile of what I look like now. All I see is a very fat girl. It's just as bad as before I have WLS. I'm embarrassed to have my picture taken.
Maybe I'm wearing clothing that is too tight again.. hmmm
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Wow Jessica I'm really impressed with your daily menu! YOu are eating really healthy... getting your fruits & veggies in along with your protein. I am having trouble eating enough fruits & veggies.... I get too caught up on protein and carbs. Gotta skip the carbs and add more fruits & veggies. Thanks for posting, it really made me re-think my food menu.

I am in the same boat as you!!! I am 5'9 also and was 364 pounds I am now 221 and still in a size 20-22 depending on the pants. I can wear an xl band shirt but I still have to put my knees in it or it is too form fitting. I feel the same way about telling people I have had surgery because I too feel like I should be smaller than I am. I am having my tummy tuck done in hope to help with that a little my stomach is hangging past my yoo hoo. Please know you are doing so awesome !!!! We have come so far!!

Chandra good to see u back
Like u I am slow to reach my goal and I did notice that I have stepped up the exercise and got my metabolism moving and I am finally dropping again. I know for me I got laxed on my portion size and i decide to measure out 4 oz and u know i was eating 6 oz and feeling sick so 4oz I feel great when I eat 4 oz meal So maybe it is time to bring out the measuring cup and not rely on eyeballing your portion size Also I am taking in more fiber last 2 weeks and I find a great way to get in my fiber is drinking special K all bran fiber drink in my water, I get the pink lemonaid one has 10 grams of fiber and tastes really good and only 10 calories plus I get my water in. As I am not a great plan water drinker. Besure u r getting in those vitamins in,
Does anyone know how much fiber u should get per day?
Does fiber bring down your bad cholestrol? HAVING A SENOR MOMENT on this one lol

I got down 5 lbs a few weeks ago and stayed steady and went up a pound this week. I'm starting to wonder if 205-210 is where I'm going to end up. It sounds horrible, but I try to keep reminding myself that I feel so healthy.
I went on a 2 hour bike ride this week and didn't even get tired. I had so much fun with my husband and kids. I never would have tried this before WLS.
I ran into 2 people today at the grocery store. I said hello to both of them and they didn't reconize me. Even after nearly 18 months, people are still surprised. I've been called "skinny" so many times in the last few months.
But I'M NOT SKINNY!!! I don't want to get comfortable and settle for less then what I can have.
Ya I'm 5' 9" and seem to "carry the weight well"... but I still sometimes struggle with feeling like a HUGE failure. I've been so embarrassed to tell people I've had WLS because of how fat I still am.
*sigh* anyways.. thanks for listening.
I was 335
I'm now 206
My goal is 169.
