Oh Lisa I can sympathize with you when it comes to housework. I wish I could afford a housekeeper but that's just not possible yet. Maybe someday. Having 9 kids, 7 cats, 1 dog and 1 bunny it gets pretty crazy around here. Recently, I had 3 of my children who live away, my daughter-n-law and grandson along with a friend of the family and her two kids come and spend the week with me. We had a houseful and the laundry was never ending.
Here's what I do..... I try to keep the main floor (kitchen, family room, living rm & dining room) picked up and company ready. If you have a clean kitchen and a clean bathroom then don't worry about anything else. The bedrooms upstairs and the basement are usually always messy.... I try to keep them semi clean but at least the main part of the house looks ok and I won't freak out if company drops in on me as long as those rooms are picked up and tidey.
I do 3 loads of laundry a day. First load is started in the morning.... 2nd load lunch time and 3rd load dinner time. I have a hamper for each kid. I pull the laundry out of the dryer and just put their clothes in their hamper. They are responsible for getting their hamper and folding & putting away their clothes. I fold mine & my hubby's clothes and all the linens and put them away. And if your laundry is really behind make a trip to the laundry mat where you can knock out all your laundry in one day and be all caught up. It's worth the money.
My house is far from spotless but it's picked up and the bathrooms are clean and usually the kitchen too.... for me that's all that matters and it's about all I can keep up with. Someday when the kids are all grown and out of the house I can have a spotless house... but until then we have a semi-clean lived-in look that works for us.
Hang in there Lisa.... sounds like you have your handsfull. Do what you can and don't sweat the small stuff. Above all make sure you take care of yourself. When I get into that pig-out mode I try to make sure I have some healthy choices on hand and fill up on those instead of all junk. I still eat some of the junk but it's not a lot because I stuffed myself with nuts, fruits, veggies and cheese sticks. And drink lots of tea!
Hugs!

How cool you have came back. You look marvelous! LIfe is too short to be unhappy. I hope you find something that makes you happy. As we have already learned, just losing the weight does not make us happy-we have to work on all parts of ourselves.
Keep posting, gives me hope that more A-teamers will return. We need each other for support.

I was gone to hunting camp with the hubby and kids. It was very relaxing up in the mountains. I have been working way too much. I really need to slow down.
Got on the scale this morning and was down a pound. Biggest lesson I have learned is that my weight is not static. It goes up and down with 2 pounds all the time. I will never be able to stay away from the scale. I need its accountibility. I got heavy by staying away from the scale so I did not have to see what I really weighed.
Anyway, just wanted to check in and say hey!
SW 282lbs
CW 154lbs
Total loss 128lbs.

I was wondering why people do not post a weight in . I get worried when they do not post a weight in if they gained soon the few pounds will turn to 10 pounds and so on that is how u lose the battle. Hope all u lurkers will post at the weight in were her threw the thick and thin of weight loss .
Shar I had a bad week but the fact I post and write it keeps me honest and in touch and accountiable to my A team with that said the battle of obesity is not over and the difference about being 100 lbs over weight is just over eating 89 calories a day o consistenctly over 10 years is how little it takes to be 100 lbs over weight.
Weight in matters just like 89 calories a day over 10 years does matter and adds up to 100 lbs gained
please weight in we want u to be sucess and besides we need you . Everyone in A team matters period
