You've had a long, hard journey losing weight, and it's a big win that you were able to fit into your school desks.
I'm here. 7 years is a long time but not that long at all when you think about it in the grand scheme of things. I'm doing well. I've not reached my personal goal but did make it from 310 to 154. Right now I'm about 165 not my personal goal and I would like to lose about 30 pounds. There isnt a chance of me getting plastic surgery so I just make do with what I was able to accomplish. My personal life is crazy. I'm still married, had another baby, lost my mother and moved to Arizona the last three in about 2 years. I'm sorry to see that you arent doing so well with your thryroid.

Hello everyone
I have not been on here in 3 or 4 years. Have been doing quite well. Within 10 pounds of my lowest weight, which was probably too low anyhow. So glad I had the surgery. My life is so different now. Sometimes I forget where I have come from! New job, new marital status (single again) and new city.
Having issues with hypoglycemia, and still can make the wrong choices food wise, but all in all have figured out what triggers my problems and try to avoid those foods.
About a year ago had a really bad scare, Acute Liver Failure and Acute Kidney Injury, which I nearly died from, but managed to get medical help just in time. Was in denial about alcohol, which I understand is not unusual. Replacing one addiction with another. So have been alcohol free for 10 months now. Even coming so close to death didn't seem to faze me, as soon as I got the all clear from the specialist went right back to drinking. Do we ever learn?
Hope all is well with everyone who was on the forum at the beginning. It's great to look back to see where we've been and how far we have all come. I remember the Sunday morning weigh-ins and how we would post our victories. So inspirational.
Here's to another 6 years of good health and happiness,
Cheers,
Jody
