I have a friend who is 8 Years out from RNY and has gained about 45 lbs back I went to a Oh seminar they were talking about the rose procedure to help those who have steached their pouch  But I am not finding much about it and I know very few docs actually do the procedure .Does anyone know much about it and how u go about finding docs who do it? I told her I would ask around, She said she was embaressed to tell people she was  a RNY patient and I said she is upset she has  gained weight  back and I told her U have done a amazing job and never think u are a failure u r a sucess story, She has lost 250 lbs, To tell u the truth I think she has alot of excess skin  and why she feels so big is because her tummy, She has a figure like mine was , all gut, She said she has moved away from support  group she was going to and I told her about OH , I think the support and daily reminder is that obesity never talks a day off and this is something I need to is daily support and be held accountable, She feels she stopped going to support is why she has gained weight back and I told her well u know u cannot live in past and only you can look toward the future and I told her where I go for support for lap banders but I also told her they have a local one for RNY.
I was so happy to see alot of people on sunday weigh in this week  I know everyone may feel ok no change why report well even if u r not losing anything  that is ok , U could be gaining and u know when I  start gaining over 170 I  start to say ok I need to look at what I am eating, Right now I am not able to really exercise and that is a problem for me, I wish I was losing but right now I am not losing I am maintaining and for now that is what my body wants to do. I have to think back how many months I did not lose, I go back to achives of my weekly weighs and let me tell you those weekly weigh in are so valuable to me,
So next time u think a weekly weigh in is not worth it and skip it well let me tell you they are a history and shows me a pattern and gives me clues to sucess. above all hope My suggest  is when u do have weight loss weight gain etc try and record what u think did to cause the weight loss gain or loss that week, I guess my memory is not as good as it use to be so archies are a valuable tool to weight loss. I think they give u insight how u were feeling that week.
Oh yeah I got one drainage tube pulled yesterday ,I still have staples in  I have alot of swelling in my tummy but only means I will get smaller in time he told me my belly button looks pretty good and it will suck in eventually and I will have a innie belly button and told me u r far from sucking in u r gonna be alot smaller I keep thinking ok ok be patient I can barely fit into fitted size 12 pants but he told me be patient the inches will come off I am actually starting to see I am getting a waist.Something I forget woman have lol Just a hint,I do remember looking at at my belly right after surgery and how flat I was.
Patience is something I am seem to lack, Ok enough rambling
Dee and crystal where r u by the way???????
I am so glad to see Pam Lisa Shar OK I AM having a brain fart the others names . Sorry oK CUT ME SOME SLACK I AM TURNING 50 NEXT WEEK lol
So good luck everyone with the rest of the week lets seem so low numbers this week and more people post.

Lisa,

Nope, as a RNY patient and a constant reader on many of the boards, I have not heard of a "rose" procedure. I have heard of some revisions but not heard of any called "rose". Now that I know you are seeking info on it, I will pay close attention to any possible references.

You're a good friend to keep encouraging your friend, leading her to the forums and supporting her. This can be a very lonely quest if you have to deal with the rollercoaster all by yourself.

Good news about your TT!   Your pictures sure looked good to me and I can't wait to see the healed results!!

The only procedure I ave heard of is the stomaphyx.  they go through the esophagus and somehow pad the pouch to make it smaller again.  I know they do this here in vegas.  I guess the important thing to do is not over-eat and stretch your pouch.l  Jano

Wow, Jodi.  Thank you for your message.  It is good to have this information on hand - it is incredibly encouraging and gives me a ray of hope.  My worst nightmare is to go back to the way I used to be.  I literally still wake up from bad dreams in a sweat  - lucid dreams where I am waking up HUGE again.
