hows the weight loss challenge?
Hope my fellow challged buddies r doing better than me Ok i am getting discouraged as I been hitting the gym and working out 2 hours plus a day and I gained a pound I hope it is swelling from muscle building. I am watching my food and keeping with ther program just hope it is temp weight gain for waht ever reason, Did not think muscles builds that fast

I think I heard once that when you work your muscles they tend to absorb or retain more water. That might not be right exactly but I think it is probably just temporary.
I haven't been as dedicated to the gym or even my walking as i would like but i have done really well on my food intake. I've cut out my night time snacking and only allow myself like a 100 calorie pack of cheez-itz or almonds or something like that to take care of the night time munchies. I like salty things. I could go ages with no sweets but anything salty and i am all over it. I've lost a few pounds though I'm positive that its water cause i have been drinking like a fish and making lots of trips to the little girls room.
About how many calories are you taking in per day? Do you keep up with it?
I've been journaling since tuesday and i've averaged about 1000 per day. is this too much or too little? averaged somewhere around 65 - 70 grams of protein.

You are doing awesome. I have been getting in like 1500 cals a day with all the grazing i do. I eat everything for some reason. I've been at 1500 cals for all the crap I eat. I have recentely started eating candy thanks to Halloween. I've got to get my eating for comfort out of the way. I dont even weigh myself anymore. SO CONGRATS To you huds!!! I know if I just cut out my snacking I can get down to 1000 cals. I just fall apart after I get home for the night.

Sorry I missed your call! I gained 6 pounds from last week when I went to the Dr on wed. I was very swollen though! I got my drain out but he says I still have alot of fluid and the girdle was not helping. I am now wearing the girdle and the binder and I see a difference!! The binder is truly so important!! I am going to have a few drinks tonight maybe but starting tomarrow I am going to write down everything that goes in my mouth!

I was told alot of swelling in not true weight gain it is huge swelling and if u take off the binder u will swell and gain fluid weight instead.
I been reading the pastic boards and seems most do not see the effect of surgery for 3 mos to a whole year but most end up losing alot of weight after 3 plus months
I guess I am glad I read that do not expect any weight loss tell 3 mos post surgery and alot of excess fluid. Some people said they were swollen so bad they could not wear what they wore to the hospitial and they know it was not weight gain it was swelling from healing. Very normal and be patient as your body has to develope new path ways to take the excess fluid away they cut off part of the path ways. I bet u look amazing but everyone said it is worth all the pain swelling in the end and wear the binder 24/7. Go to sears they have nice binders selection to wear and some have got the full panty binder now that works better.Just remind me when I am swollen and gain 6 lbs to be patient ok Dee LOL

Okay Guys,
My official starting weight for this challenge is 166. I figure that is what the scale that i always weigh in on said so i'm going with it. I am really going to try and get this five off. I'm feeling a little stressed becuase of my current situation. That is working full time, and part-time, and going to school full-time. Plus I have three little ones and my DH just had a lap band. My house is in complete disaray and CHristmas is getting close. THat damn halloween candy is just calling my name and worst of all I keep anwsering! So please say a little prayer for me!
