I finally got off  the binge cycle. It really showed me I have alot of work ahead of me and this is no time to slack off and I can no longer think I am ok and weight is not a big issue..I jumped to 190  real fast but I am happy to report I buckled down and got back to 186 and will get back to 184 hopefull soon

I really have a serious eating  disorder. I was watching show called skinny me it was documentry on how to get to size double zero and two news reporters decide to do a experiment on how to get to size 00 and they had to do this in 6 weeks and it was the amazing how hard and the time consumption was on diet and exercise it really woke me up.. even tho i will never see size double zero yet alone  zero . It was so hard for these people who were uk size 12 and what great lengths they had to do to lose weight. well that show stopped my eating binge and i realize i have a disorder just like annorexics have a eating disorder I had woke to fact I am gonna battle this the rest of my life and obesity never takes a day off . I cannot see my self as a skinny person and as long as I see that like annorexic see's herself  as fat it will be a issue. I AM SO BLESSED WITH A TOOL
I do not feel hungry with my tool but I must admit the days I had my binge I had this horrible hunger.. I had to apply the rules protien first veggies  complex carbs in that order. I was scared of hunger, I had thought after i had hit maintence i would ease on the lap band and go for a unfill and now I am saying nooooooooooooo way I cannot deal with hunger. so my question to all of you RNY do u guys feel hunger????? lap bands usually  feel no hunger 99% of the time and the times I do I could eat a horse

As an RNY person I definitely feel hungry. But like you I try to make healthy choices and reach for protein first then fruits & veggies before I dig into the junk. Usually, after I've eaten healthy I'm not hungry for the junk. Or I'll eat just a tiny bit of the junk just to satisfy that craving. Small portions still fill me up so it's pretty easy to stick to the program and not over eat. However, I do have some days like right before my period where I will graze all day long... but even with that I try to eat healthy choices and limit the junk.

Someone just asked me if I fear old habits coming back and I said absolutely! I will always fear my old bad eating habits coming back and gaining all my weight back, but I think that's what keeps me on the straight and narrow. Because of this healthy fear I'm more apt to keep myself in check and make sure I eat healthy 99% of the time. I do allow for some indulgences of the forbidden foods once in a while but I don't make a daily habit of them. I keep them to a minimum and I only eat very small portions of them. So far it's been working for me and I haven't gained any weight back.

You are right Lisa we will always battle obesity for the rest of our lives... but I do think it will get easier over time as long as we stick to the program and continue to make healthy choices. I'm glad you are back on track and losing weight! Keep up the good work and thanks for your post.

There are days when I am hungry all day long. I remember how I was full with one bite just after surgery. I long for those times. It gets harder and harder to fight this battle. But, we can do it! especially together.
