Last night the Center For Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent Charity Hospital hosted a 1 year graduation ceremony for all patients who were 1 year post-op and reached their goal weight. It was a proud moment when I walked across the stage to hug my doctor and receive my diploma and special gold pin. They had a big screen up that played in the background as we walked across the stage that showed our before & after pictures along with our total weight loss we achieved. They served a delicious dinner complete with yummy sugar free cheesecake that was so good. Everything was so elegant & fancy I felt like a queen for a night. Plus they had music & dancing after dinner...it was so much fun! I attended with my father who was my biggest fan throughout my weight loss journey. Unfortunately, hubby had to work and my mother could not attend due to a recent surgery she underwent. But dad and I had a blast and it felt so good to see how proud he was of me. It was great hearing about everyone elses success stories and seeing how far they've come. Overall it was a great event, one that I'll treasure forever!

I post a few pics of the ceremony on my profile page.

Congrats Lisa! This is such a huge achievement and it is wonderful that your program recognizes it.
Treasure these memories and when things get rough, trot it back out...

I bet u just looked simply stunning. It is a night to remember as it is simply a huge success for u and I bet priceless moment  for your dad.
I know how my father had the look of horror and disquist  at me for being so morbid obese, He is a man of few words and emotions but yesterday he saw me and  said how proud of me he was about my weight loss. That was the first time ever recalling him telling me he was proud of me. I have been such a failure and disappointment to my family but lately they see me threw a new light.
Their is nothing that will stop us now.

Wow!  That is one cool way to give everybody an incentive for keeping up the good work!  We're all proud of you girl.  I know your father was.  Congratulations!  You deserve every bit of that.
