Hi I had to pay 5000 up front and my insurance will pay 60% of the hernia repair but not tummy tuck. It costing me alot but ti is worth it. Then after I pay this off I will look inti thighs or boobs.

CONGRATS.  I wish I could have a tummy tuck.  I am starting to look like those big wrinkly dogs.  I can't afford it on my own, and I don't know if my insurance will pay for it.  How do you find out if your insurance will cover it?  I heard that even if you insurance covers it, you have to pay the doctor up front and then get reimbursed from the insurance company.  Anyone know if that is true?

Lisa, that is such great news! My stomach is such a mess-I dream of a tummy tuck some day. Good for you-congratulations on getting it approved!

I had a consult with a PS last week. It was not at all what I expected. He does everything on an outpatient basis at a surgical center rather than a hospital. I have been doing lots of research and even considered Mexico but I just do not like the idea of traveling with drains and the pain. I also worry about complications. I just feel much better about having someone close.
I am not even trying to get my insurance involved. I do not have a rash. I just want all signs of obesity erased!
I have worked an extra job to try and save up. We will see. I am wanting a anchor cut tummy tuck first and maybe the girls lifted next year. The Dr said I should have great results.
Oh well, just wi**** was already done.

I was told if my portin  was not covered by insurence would be 4,500 and what ever the hosptial charged on top of that.

Dee how much skin are they cutting off? Did they tell u how much the hosptial is costing u?
I am back at the gym.. Anyone want to join me at the gym?
