I am actually getting frustrated. After being at the same weight for many months, I am tired of it. My caloric intake is not very high so it may be that it's too low. But, I can't see myself eating any more than I do. I keep myself thinking "well, at least I am not gAINING." bUT i WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER 45 POUNDS. i am feeling very discouraged about this. I don't really count my calories, I just kinda eyeball them. I still count my proteins. I need to talk to my dietician, I suppose. Well, I am off to work I hope you are all well and dry. Any Texans around?

Good morning Shar, Looks like everyone else is sleeping in this morning.
I am also holding steady at the same weight. 130 lbs again today. I havent lost for a long time. My original goal was 150 and I feel so good at 130, now I am rethinking my goal. Im thinking maybe 125???
My family keeps telling me that I am too thin now, but I dont think I am.
I think as long as I am feeling good and my blood work is okay, then 5 more lbs wont hurt.

Good Morning  A-Team.  I lose two pounds and then gain two pounds.  I have had a crummy cold for almost 3 weeks.  Nothing tastes good.  I just cough and cough.  But I have been drinking my protein shots just to keep up on that.

Shar.. I totally could have written your post.. for myself!   I keep being thankful that I'm not gaining as well.. even though I'm not loosing anymore.  My surgeon told me that I would end up around 200lbs and probably stay there and maintain.   That is still techinically obese!  But my surgeon seems to be happy with my progress... oh well.  Tell me what your dietician says.. okay?

My daughter is in Houston, Texas and she said hurricane Ike was a sight to see. They have a lot of damaged houses in her neighborhood along with lots of big trees completely uprooted from the ground. She is going on day 3 without power and it doesn't look like it will be back on for a while. The backyard is completely under water and she's hoping it doesn't get any higher and end up flooding the house (there is no basement thank goodness). Overall, she said it was pretty exciting to survive her first hurricane. My daughter is like me and loves storms. We would be tornado chasers if we could...lol.  I told her I was actually jealous that I couldn't be there with her....lol.

Anyway, I'm feeling really good these days and maintaining my weight. I'm content with my weight loss and not too concerned about losing anymore. However, if I lose another 4 or 5 pounds I wouldn't complain.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

ok back to 189 and that is where my body wants to be right now..
Not stressing out as I am happy with my weight loss as long as I am  well under 200 I am happy..
Where are regulars???????? has anyone seen inky crystal????  and the others??????

I'm holding steady also.  No weight loss for about a month now.  I want to lost another 10 (against my doctor's wishes).

I'm right there with you, Shar and Shakeira! My lowest was 183, then I climbed up to 191, then got serious with low-carbing, and am now back to 184. I am determined to get to my goal-it's just a matter of figuring out what works for me. So far so good. It took me a long time to accept that I had to change my diet if I wanted to lose any more, because my calorie intake hasn't changed at all-it had been around 1100-1300 calories a day for months-what changed were my carb levels. I'm eating 40 grams or under a day now, and it's made all the difference. By the way, since I've added 2 protein shakes a day to my intake, I've noticed that I have much more energy. I finally found a protein powder that doesn't have a disgusting smell or taste-it's literally just like chocolate milk, called Champion Whey stack. It changed my life!

I have just recently started loosing again, like in the last 3 weeks! I met with my NUT 3 months ago and her suggestions were as follows:
Exercise 3 times a week for 1 hour
Exercise 2 times a week for 45 min.
1100 -1400 calories a day, 80 gr protein, min. 80oz water a day, lower my fat intake and if I eat something not so healthy, exercise an extra 15 min.
Nothing that really surprised me. I really don't know any more now than I did before my appointment with her. I am also interested in what your nut has to say so please let us know.

When I was eating tiny small meals is when i was losing weight,faster. I just am not hungry so there fore i put myself in starvation mode. I have to get my self back on track..
