One year checkup
I had my one year check up. I'm 7 lbs from my "ideal" weight. My doc was very happy with my loss. He was surprised when i told him i wanted to lose more. I really want to just get to that "ideal". Probably silly but i just WANT to reach that goal.
My labs were good. Normal blood sugar and my iron was good. My B12 was on the low side of normal and i got my hand slapped for not doing better with the vitamins on that one.
But, all in all, good visit.
Hope everyone is doing well 1 year post surgery.
Thanks! I've started taking the sub b12 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I don't have to see him for a year which actually kinda worries me. What if my levels don't come up and continue to drop. I looked up what the deficiency could cause, and though I don't know if its related, I've had some emotional/depression issues lately. I guess I'll just have to make sure my PCP checks it when I see her again.
But you're right about the stressful part. Untill you mentioned it I really didin't grasp just how stressed i was about this appt. But I was worried about not making the goal he set and I was worried particularly that my blood sugar levels would be back up and the whole diabetes thing would come creeping back in. BUt other than the B12 he said everything was good. So, I jsut gotta take care of that.
THanks!!
Heather
I really needed the B-12 or I was dragging. After the things that Shar went thru, I felt like maybe I needed B-complex also.
Anyway, Natures Bounty is now making a sublingual liquid that has B-complex with B-12. It makes it nice because I only have to take it once. It is also very inexpensive (around $5 for a 2 month supply).
My PCP is getting more involved. I had no need to see him until recently so we are working on getting me back up to speed.
