I do not get it.
I was thinking yesterday amd reflecting back of my old days My old eating habbits and the amount of food I use to eat and the quanity AND THE WAY i was eating .(WAS HUGE AMOUNT OF FOOD) surprises how little I really eat now and yet I am on a stall.. My scale says something like being 205 u are eating 2,500 calories for my height and age and activity and I am barely consuming 1200 calories as is.. Mind u I did not have RNY and I do not have malabsorbition issues makes sense why weigh****ches failed and I had to go on medically supervised starvation diet and eat 200 calories to lose 30 lbs I HAVE HAD SO MANY STALLS UGH!!!!
My highest weight was 295 and I GOT TO TO 263 and I stayed that way for a few years and I started to go back to eating alot of food but for some odd reason I never gained it all back but I was working on ambulance and working 96 hours a week and was very physcial and some days I would not eat much I would live off soda. Today I am Physical and work out and watch what I eat and yet a stall .. week after a week. I think my body like a set point and I do not know how to get out of eat but to starve and go back to 200 calories a day.. I just know I cannot play that game as my blood sugar is already very low and to go from A1c of 12.0 to 4.8 is amazing but yet I just stall week after week. I should be losing but I am thinking I have something metabolic wrong with me? I see the doc wed to test my thyroid anything else I should have tested .. I know they ran the test before I had surgery but I am always so cold now and everyone is so hot.. I have no energy at all.
Ok just don't my mind me I AM OLD looking at 50 crazy woman here and just thinking does anyone think like I do? I know I am better as far as health and am 90lbs lighter but it has taken me years to lose 90..I am just frustrated and getting to me today I eat so little and yet weeks of stall. The math is not adding up here
Thanks for letting me vent.
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I was thinking about this very thing night before last while doing the dishes. I don't understand it at all. I see my surgeon on Monday and have a big list of these questions for him because I am beyond frustrated as well.
I've tried so many things, upping calories to 1400, down to 1000, yesterday I tried 900 and will try that again for a few days. I walk miles and miles. I can't join a gym because I have tendonitis in my left shoulder and my PCP won't let me work out except for PT.
very frustrating and I don't know the answers.
Inky
U know Inky I was talking to my dietician yesterday and she told me when I see my doc today get blood work to test that will measure how much protien u r getting in and few other test she suggested said once I get the blood work done she wants me to sit down with her next week and adjust my diet based on the blood work. The question I did ask her how do I know if you are in starvation mode that is when she said when you see the doc get these tests done. She told me I may need to eat 10-12 tiny meals a day a 100 calorie meals to kick start my thyroid but she wants to do some blood work first.
Just thought I would pass this on.
