Hello my fello April Loser!!!!! Just wanted to share in the joy of all of our accomplishements over the last year. I thank God for the 125 pounds that I have lost. I began my journey on 4/23/07 at 353 pounds. I am very proud to say that I am now 229. I haven't seen that weight since high school. I am so blessed not to have had any complications. This was the best decision that I have ever made. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I pray for the best of health and success for all of us during the next year. I also would like to request prayers for my co-worker. She went in the hospital last Tuesday for RNY. She was so excited about her journey and asked that I call her because she wanted to share in mine. I feel horrible because due to our busy schedules, we were unable to take the time to talk. I stopped by HR today to have a card mailed to her house. I was then informed that something went horrible wrong with her surgery and she is now in a medically induced coma and on a respirator. I would just like for all of us to send out our positive successful energy her way. I am soliciting the prayers of all of the OH family. Stay blessed, Tracey

Congratulations Tracey on your weight loss. I agree that this was the best decision we have ever made. I am sorry to hear about your co-worker. Sometimes things go wrong. It just depends on the person. I will definately send a prayer for her. Jan

I guess this is a bitter sweet time for you. I am so sorry to hear about your co worker. It just shows You weight loss surgery is a decision not to be taken lightly. Most of us were looking to die for morbid obese complications. I think back now the day I had surgery my fasting blood sugar was well over 300 and they gave me a shot of insulin prior to surgery and that was first and last day I ever wanted to receive insulin. My sugars were in the 300-500 levels with 3 different meds. Today my diabetes is in remission and no meds with blood sugar staying below 100 threw the day. The rate I was going I would have been dead soon. I will pray for a tender mercies for your co worker. You did not state if a full recovery was possible. I know when my hubby went to have his RNY one of the ladies was in put in a medically induced coma and was in ICU FOR 3 DAYS!!! she came out to floor and she end up going home before my hubby.. group of 5 had the surgery that day and he was the last to go home he had 12 co morbities As far as your year surigivery congradulations on a job well done .. 125 is alot of weight to lose I wish u a continued sucessfull year and look forward to see u sitting on below 200 bench with me .. take me with u if i have yet to get there will ya? Was 203 this am getting there slowly Lisa
