I finally made it......

I finally made it to the CENTURY CLUB!!!! Woohoo!!!!! I got on the scale today and I weighed 146. One of my goals was to lose 100 pounds within 1 year and I'm happy to say I've achieved that goal! I started this journey weighing 247 pounds 1 year ago... and today I am down 101 pounds and only 11 pounds away from reaching my goal weight of 135! It seems hard to believe... I have to pinch myself to make sure it's all real and not just a dream. Thanks to all of you who have kept my seat warm here at the century club.... and for all of you on your way, I'll be sure to save a seat for you. Doing the happy dance! P.S. - I forgot to post and let everyone know I had hernia repair surgery last Thursday. Everything went really well and I didn't even need my pain meds after the 2nd day. My tummy is a bit flatter now without that nasty huge hernia sticking out...making me look 7 months pregnant! Anyway, just thought I'd give a quick update!

That is so awesome .. LISA... my hernia is sooooooooooooo huge I look pregnant one of these days someone is gonna ask me when your baby is due I swear.. I need to get to 170 and THEN I can get my hernia repaired and get my tummy tuck and 25 lbs of skin cut off yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet u will even look better once the swelling goes away congradulations on 100 lbs loss c .. u have done so well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very proud of u.. Lisa

I know what you mean about looking pregnant! I swear I looked 7 or 8 months pregnant with my hernia. It feels so good to have that huge bulge gone! I opted out of a tummy tuck because insurance wouldn't cover the full cost and it would have ended up costing me $6,000.00 out of pocket. And frankly we just don't have that kind of money. Besides, I was one of the lucky ones and I don't have too much sagging skin and the saggy skin in my belly area can be hidden by clothes so I'm content. Nobody sees me except hubby and he's fine with my saggy skin..lol! If I ever hit the lottery I'd probably get a boob job and a tummy tuck... hey, a girl can dream can't she!

I had to chuckle here .. on winning the lottery ... My sister won the mega lottery a few years back and luck would have it she was the skinny smallest one in the family When we were smaller she would tell me if I lose all the weight she would pay for a new wardrobe .. well I am thinking how about she pay for my tummy tuck and new boobs????? and I will pay for the new wardrobe? LOL YES A GIRL AND DREAM!!! I have a family reunion may 1 -4 in Yosemite and this time I may not hide from the camera..I will still be the giant one in the family as all my family are petite people my mom and sisters are all 5 ft and I am taller than my dad and brother who r smaller than me I am 5'7" not like I am real tall but now I will not look like the good year blimp of the family.. I AM SO HOPING TO BE UNDER 200 LIKE THE REST OF MY FAMILY Even hubby is smaller than me 179 ..and noT be the topic of u should really do something about your weight none of my family knows I had weight loss surgery. Congratulations Lisa. Wow what an achievement!!! It's hard to believe a year has gone by already!
