1 year check up

I had my 1 year check up yesterday even though it was 2 weeks early (4/9/07 surgery). I have lost 114% of my excess body weight. My BMI has gone from 44 to 22 that's HALF. All my bloodwork came back perfect or above!! Dr. was extremely pleased and he said he's never had anyone so successful!!!! YEAH However, I'm too thin???? HUH...how does that work? Dr. & nut. want me to GAIN 15 pounds. I just can't wrap my brain around that one. I'm supposed to add 200 - 400 calories a day. And, when I start riding again (took the last 2 months off due to weather) I have to have one of those protein shots every day!! I was worried but now I'm scared. How does one go from being too fat to being too thin in less than a year. I've done everything right and I don't want to screw it up by gaining. I'll go to GNC tomorrow to look for the shots and then order some online too. So far today I haven't made 900 calories; I'm supposed to be between 1100 & 1300. I just drank a hot cocoa so in a 1/2 hour or so I'll have a pita with peanut butter I think or maybe a protein bar??? I'm so excited to be healthy!!! Went to Kohls this afternoon to look at the clearance stuff...I bought a size 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Found 4 pairs of capris but put 3 pairs back and bought a shirt and shoes and a pair of jeans for DH. Size 26/28 to a size 2

Congrats! What a terrific accomplishment to have changed so much in 1 year. Please don't fret too much about being too thin...just work on being healthy. The fact that your labs are great is a testament to your progress. Just do your best to get in the calories and protein the doc suggests...your body should settle into a comfortable weight over the next year. Many folks gain weigh back without trying anyway. I too am having trouble getting in the calories some days...today will likely be less than 900 and my goal is 1100-1200. Oh well, tomorrow is another day! Got to love being a size 2!!!!
