I need a vacation from my scale. I am sick sick sick to death of weighing in the 203.5-205.5 range. It's been going on since February 21 - nearly a month now. This is my first honest to goodness stall and it is so frustrating. I am doing everything I should be, calories around 1,100, protein around 60-70, enough water, walking. BAH! Someone come help me hack of a limb or something. Just needed to vent, I know eventually it'll shake loose but it's making me CRAZY!! Inky (not so shrinky)

I know the feeling. I haven't lost anything since last fall. Granted, I started out lightweight and have just about gotten to where I figure I need to be, but I'd like to lose a little bit more, just for insurance. I think I'm doing it right, I'm exercising and all that, but it's staying put. Don't hack off a limb. It isn't worth it. I mean, you really need to find something heavier to hack off if you're going to do so. I don't think limbs weigh that much. Yeah, it'll shake loose sooner or later. Are you measuring? That's always the standard answer to vents like this one. Maybe you're losing inches? I feel your pain. Marcia

Thanks Marcia, I knew we could relate I do need to measure, my last measuring was january 29th, so I think I shall again this month - great idea!! And hey, at least we're not gaining Inky (at 204 this morning - a step in the right direction!)

ok inky i was this way for 16 weeks and i just had a carb day and ate carb all day long and it shocked my body to drop 12 lbs after i did this sometimes we need to shock the body to drop it.. can't hurt.. give it a try Lisa

I have a love/hate relationship with my scale also. It can make my day or it can totally p*ss me off! I have worked on my acceptance of the games it likes to play with me. (now she's talking like it's alive or sentient-get the straight jacket out). I have transferred a lot of my dependance on food to my scale. Is it healthy-NO!!! The difference now is that when it shoots back up a pound or two I do not go out and eat everthing is sight. I can sympathize with it playing to game so close to onderland. You're like-get over already! It will happen. Play an outlasting game with it. You will outlast and not give into temptation even though it tries to get you to do it. Sharra I just re-read my post and it is as psychotic as I thought. Oh well, the A team is where I can let out my inner psycho without fear of ridicule. Hang in there Shrinky!

I am doing some calorie cycling now (up and down on the calories each day from about 900 to 1300) and added 50 grams of carbs yesterday. Interestingly enough, today I am 204 and yesterday I was 205.5. Hmmm...... Hope you are feeling well Lisa and getting the rest you need Inky

Inky.......What a pretty new picture. I didn't even know who it was. I am in the same boat as you are. A major stall for about 6 weeks... I hate this!!! I want to be in onederland before my 1 year anniversary, but I really doubt that's gonna happen.........unless I cut off ALL of my limbs. Shar

Thank you Shar! I figured it was time for a new photo (it was taken march 1, 08). I totally feel your pain, my surgeon wanted me down 25 more pounds since my six month appointment (which was actually mid november). I am only down 12 more since then. Oh well, it's not like he's gonna fire me or take away my pouch, lol, i just have to keep trying and get my metabolism jumped somehow. On a good note - today was 204, down from 205.5 yesterday, so hopefully we are going in the right direction at the very least! Considering this is my first major stall since surgery (i mean except for a couple short one or two week ones), I guess I should count my lucky stars. Hang in there Shar, and no limb hacking allowed Inky (who would really like to see 203 on sunday)

okay dont panic gurl!! i did the same thing this month. all of february, I couldnt get passed 280.. I even went up 7 lbs while moving into my new home!!! ohman I was so furious!! but here it is march and I thought okay..lets try the scales again. NOPE.. well, I lost 6.5 of the 7 but far from breaking the 280 mark! oooooo I wanted to (*&(*(A$ just like you.. now its the 19th and I got on the scales again and YIPPEEE i'm down under 280 by 4 lbs!! its weird.. I didnt change anything in eating or exersize but okay, whatever the scales say, I'll take it!! be patient kiddo...dont drive yourself crazy okay ahha
