Bad news
Well, phooey on them. Ok, cry some, get mad, throw things (or whatever - as long as you're not EATING) for awhile, then think of how you went for the job, you interviewed, you had the courage to get out there and try, I'm sure you looked good doing it, then start looking again. You CAN do it.

Oh Crystal, I am so sorry you didn't get the job!!! But what a good thing it is to know you would have been the choice if it weren't for an internal applicant. Why jobs take outside applicants when they have internal ones that they know they are going to have to choose is beyond me.
Consider it a good interview experience and keep looking - it's out there for you and I will keep thinking good thoughts your way
hugs,

Crystal, that sucks. I can imagine how disappointed you must feel right now. But, you certainly shouldn't take it personally-I HATE when companies already have internal candidates but go through the motions of interviewing outside people too, even though there's almost no chance of hiring them. The good news is, you were a great candidate and they liked you, so I'm sure that you will soon find something else. Don't give up-you are doing great and will eventually find the right position!
Well God does work in strange ways.. Just yesterday morning I was very let down and then after 5 yesterday I got a interview call to work as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. I would be using all of my education....SO today at 10am I have another interview with Visiting Physicians Assoc. They make house calls. I would be going on house calls with the Dr.'s and doing what is needed. So I will let you all know what comes out of this one.
