So far I have lost 93 but have not lost for 2 months. I have gotten a fill, and changed things up, still have not moved. I am trying to tell myself its ok, gives me time to catch up with all the changes, but I guess I am a bit frustrated.. Any suggestions? cherri

I don't have any suggestions except are you getting enough calories and water? I hate not losing and I have started today to write everything down i eat good or bad. I am thinking about doing a daily post too but will see. good luck to you happy new year dee

I too had been stalled for about 2 months. For one thing we know that the first 6 months we lose the most, after that it becomes slower and harder. But I had been taking EMT classes and was so consumed with studying and preparing for the National Registry Test that I became careless with my eating to say the least. I'm trying to get back on track now, keeping track of what I have been eating, and trying to increase water. I had fallen into the dreaded habit of grazing again. I had also stopped exercising when it got too cold outside to ride my bike. So here is to a restart for those of us who need it. Lets give each other the support that we need to meet our goals. I can't think of a better place to get support and encouragement than this April board. Everyone here is great. By the way it is now Michelle Harper EMT-B

It sounds cliche but try getting back to the basics. We hear it all the time but following the program to the letter is sometimes what we need. I think some of my best weeks have come after I grazed more and had increased my calories. Then, having a really disciplined week made the pounds come off. One promise to myself this new year was that I was going to start tracking my food, water, exercise and vitamins. We start kind of doing it in our head and can be surprised what the reality is. At my class, we got these cool journals to track all that info. Success habits breed success. I really keep myself accountible by going to my post-op classes once a month and posting on here. Even when things are not great-making myself do it keeps me more in line than falling back into my old sneaky habits. Our struggles are not over. Learning to maintain and get those last few pounds off are going to be a great struggle for many of us.

Thank You ALL. I thought I was the only one...really. I am feeling bloated and stuck. Am down 95 lbs and feeling good. My energy level is up but I know I have 40 lbs to go. I need suggestions about protein drinks. I haven't ever done those even right after surgery but have periodically done some protein bars and seem to do ok with those. They are awful sweet though and I never know if the calories are worth the protein. The answer is probably yes?? It is nice to be down to a loose size 18 (from a 30) even though I am wearing the same few outfits over and over. I look pretty good for where I started. I am swimming three to four times a week and do lane walking. Has anyone else tried that? I use hand paddles for resistance in the water and my arms are looking pretty fantastic..even my adult son noticed that I was firming those arms up. Its good to talk about it on here and realize that I really am not doing so badly and at least I am doing something. Peace!! Camai
