Sunday Weigh In
Shar So Good to see you back on the boards and at home.. Sorry to hear u r having alot of pain still..
I met Thanksgivng with a small roar .. and enjoyed cooking for the family and making their favorites and not stressing about don't eat this that etc .. basically I said I have my tool in and how much can I possibly eat ? I just asked God to allow me to eat in peace and enjoy the meal in healthy way .. and if i did not gain a pound this week I am gonna be greatful and I was ok with not losing and well I was so blessed as after a 2 month stall I lost 2 pounds this week .. pie was yummy and man I could eat that day LOL had one bite of everything and I was ok .. Except my homemade yeast rolls. I am unable to really eat bread .. and u know no one in my family gained a pound this week ..
So here out my stats
All time high 295
April 1 263
Day of surgery 250
last week 221
this week 219
- 2 lbs
Total weight loss 76 lbs gone for ever.. and my 2 MONTH STALL IS OVER.. well I hope LOL
I was talking to my sister who lost 100 lbs and she said she lost weight like I did 2 months stalls at a time and drop 20 and stall 2 mos drop 20 stall drop 20 and she said being a doctor that is very normal and said my body is just adjusting and said she has found patients who r constanly dropping steadly usually gain their weight back becasue their body is unable to establish a body set point .. when I went from 295 to 263 I stayed there for 3 years before I started losing again due to wls I never gained back the 32 lbs after I stopped the starvation diet. My sister has kept her 100 lb weight loss for 20 years.. She told me to think of stalls is a good thing..
Well I fit into 38" jeans for the first time in forever. At my high weight I was wearing 52-54" jeans. I still have a pair of them so I can do the before and after photo shoot. I actually had an argument with my wife in the store over wether or not I can fit into a large long sleeve T shirt. I said no way I would fit, and I needed the X Large shirt. Well we bought the large, and as usual she was right, it fit. What a great deal, I can buy off the rack, instead of the fat man section. I can even tease my fat friends now.
2 days before surgery 376lbs
This morning 229lbs
Total loss 147lbs. and dropping woo hoo
I only have about 30 or 40 lbs to go.
Craig
Well I had good week. I did snack on thanksgiving but carrots and cauliflower don't have many calories so I wasn't to worried and when dinner time came around I had a couple bites of turkey, potatoes, and corn and I was stuffed. I made sugar free and fat free pumpkin pie and used fat free cool whip so I was able to have about a half a peice of pie an hour after dinner and I felt so sick from over eating I didn't eat again that day. So all in all it was a good day.
Shar I am so glad you are feeling better and hope that you have more good days than bad.
Starting weight 285
DOS 264
Last week I think was 263
Today 159
I am so pleased to be out of the 160's I am now 9lbs from being a Normal weight and 19lbs from goal I will actually be very happy if I hit 145 for my final goal but 140 is my dream goal I am now able to steel clothes from my little sister and she has tons of cute clothes so I am happy with that
Glad you are feeling better Shar.
I had a 2 pound loss this week, but I didn't have Thanksgiving either, we celebrate it the 2nd Monday in October in Canada.
So here are the stats
HW 270
Last week 152
This week 150
Total loss, 120 pounds in 7 months....wow who would have thought....and only 10 pounds to goal.
Have a great week everyone,
Jody
Shar,
I'll add my good wishes to the rest you've gotten on this post, and let you know I'm happy you're home and doing better.
No loss, no gain this week, which is ok, because it could possibly mean that my body is saying I've lost enough. I am running around a lot, but not getting in the official gym-exercise as much as I'd like, but as long as I'm not gaining weight, I'm happy. So my stats remain:
Pre-op: 240
DOS: 232
Current: 150 - 152

I think Schmeesa and I are on the same schedule. I had such a great loss last week and got soooo close to the century club. Well, my weight bounced back up 2 1/2 lbs. So, I have stayed on track but still am a 1 1/2 lbs over my low. DARN!!!
Thanks to all of you who have had similar experiences, I am not quite as psychotic this time. I will just plug along and the weight will do what it wants-when it wants.
I am still thankful to be down close to 100lbs.

Thankgiving was nice. I had trouble with my family who go through periods of famine and gluttony. (they go a long time between meals and then stuff themselves). I had to remind my hubby-I CAN NOT DO THAT ANYMORE!!! I got to get something every 2-3 hours.
Hang in there A Team.
