Hi to my wonderful A-team. I thank you all for your good wishes. The diagnosis........severe diverticulosis in the sigmoid colon and , just for the fun of it, I have a nasty ulcer by the anastomosis. I have to tell ya, the pain was so severe I couldn't believe it. Drugs didn't even touch the pain. It is scary because it will probably flare up again, I just hope not any time too soon. as for the diverticulosis, they said to "keep your bowels soft," Well, thAt is always my problem, but hopefully I will fine the cure. I sure don't look forward to having surgery to remove the bad part of the colon. I wish all of you a great Thanksgiving. We all have a lot to be grateful for......especialy our A-team brothers and sisters. Shar

Was wondering where u were and how u were doing. I am glad u r home for Thanksgiving. So sorry u have to have surgery but I am glad that found out what the pain was steaming from.. I had a huge section of my colon cut out when I was 12 and I don't miss it LOL I mean only thing is I am sucken on one side of my belly due to the missing part of my colon but how much is that from my obesity belly ? Seems to be less obvious as my stomach shrinks back down .. Welcome back Shar Lisa

Shar, So glad you made it home and the diagnosis wasn't worse than it is. So what did they do for you? Did they actually do something to resolve the problems or just give you different meds? And if you are able to control it, you aren't facing certain surgery, are you? Pam T

Shar, I am so glad that you are back home. I've been thinking about you! I hope you are feeling better. At least they figured out what was wrong. Is the diverticulosis related to the surgery? What do you have to do now? Take care, Lisa
