So I have this stupid question???
Please don't laugh too hard, but I just don't know if this is me being stupid or not. My tail bone is killing me. Does anyone else have this issue. I'm not kidding. I don't know if it's even worth asking my GP about - I mean, what can they do about it anyway? Sitting in the car, at my desk, in a chair watching TV etc. Even laying on my back in bed hurts. If anyone has any advise on what they have done to help eliminate it, I would truly appreciate it. BTW - I'm 61/2 months out and am down 108lbs. Only have 17 lbs till goal! Thanks for any help.
Hi Jo,
I talked to my doctor about some new aches and pains that have come since surgery (way less than the ones that were there before every day and are gone!). She told me that this rapid weight loss causes alot of our body to shift around as we re-learn to carry ourselves. Also having much less padding where we were accustomed to it (like the tailbone or butt area) can make things feel more sensitive and sore.
Make sure you stretch and take good care of your body before and after you exercise, it has helped me with some pain in my knee from walking.

Hi Vickie: Hopefully someone else has found some good remedies for what we are 'suffering' from! yep - the car is the worst! I even put a pillow under my butt one morning - but I'm not sure that helped all that much. Maybe we need one of those 'donut' things. Not the old kind of donuts I used to love either!!!
Jo
Ha! I think I may never have that problem no matter how much I lose. I can't relate to that but I am cold all of the time. I mean freezing. My friend says it's because my extra padding is gone. I told her she was crazy but it may be some truth to that. Can't give you any words of advice except try a small pillow~ seriously. M.Y.
Everyone here unfortunately is incorrect. This is peripheral neuropathy. I know about it unfortunately because I experienced the tailbone pain RIGHT after surgery followed by numbness in my feet while in the hospital. I still have some tailbone pain to this day.
