SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Great job everyone!
I've been struggling with the snacking demon this week. For some reason I felt compelled to buy a jar of peanuts, and have not been able to avoid snacking on them from time to time (1oz at a time). They are just the wrong thing - 170 calories per oz! I need to find out what draws me to them. I think it's the saltiness. Will have to find a better option to combat them. Otherwise, I've done ok this week. Lowest the scale said was 200.8, but with all the peanuts/salt I'm 201.6 this morning.
I've also been trying to get more fiber in the diet (you all know why I'm sure), and that means more carbs, so a rebalancing of the numbers is in process.
I'd really like to bottom out around 190# overall (only 11# away), and then transition into a more average diet of low carb, high protein, low fat parameters. So I'm close to that now.
Ok, enough blathering on....
Here's the numbers for the week:
Heaviest (July '06) = 338#
Surgery 4/25/07 = 305#
Last Week = 203.6#
Today = 201.6#
- 2# this week
- 136.4# overall
Atta-Girl Shar!
I've got movement, too. Bowel movements to be exact I've spent the better part of this weekend on the commode. Not sure if it's something I ate or a bug. Either way I tipped the scales at 259 lbs. this morning. I don't know if it'll "stick" or if I'll gain it back when I'm able to keep something down.
DOS : 358 lbs.
Last week: 262 lbs.
Today, 10/28: 259 lbs. (-3 lbs.)
Have a good week, everybody.

I am hanging out at 261 uggggg. My doctor said no exercise because of my back so I should of really watched what i was eating this week but I am having snack food attacks!! I am really going to reevaluate and write down and go back to doing the firm videos as well as exercise at school. Hopefully next week I will have movement!!!

Hi All - Slow going, but still going...
Cindy, so sorry to hear about your dog! That's terrible news.
This is an extremely stressful time for me, I have a lot going on including multiple job interviews for when i finish school next year. Plus I turn 30 this week (ugh). I am really trying hard to keep from carb snacking and not to miss my workouts and I'm doing ok for now. Also, this week I am starting a new fitness program at my gym which (as my trainer said) is a little beyond my abilities, but should "push me to the next level" (her words, not mine). Anyway, here's my stats
Highest: 348
DOS: 343
Last week: 228
This week: 224.6
I'm down 124lbs which is fantastic!!! I hope to be under 220 by my birthday because that will be the smallest I have ever been in my adult life and I thought that those two milestones would tie together nicely. I also did the mother of all closet clearings this week. I am still AMAZED when I can slip on clothing that hasn't fit me since college, but I am sad to see some things go. Some things that I never even got a chance to wear but weren't in season when i went through that size. Oh well. My health is more important than clothes, right?
I am happy to report my major stall has ended for now. I seem to go in streaks where I don't loose for a month or more then loose a ton for a week or so then stall out again. Surprisingly I got on the scale this morning and had a wonderful surprise
so the totals for me are
Highest 285
DOS 264
Last Week 168
Today 163
so I have lost 5lbs this week which means 122lb total and 101 since surgery.
Good week after a 2 week stall i am down 3 lbs ..

last week I was 222 this am I was 219..

Good Afternoon All,
Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It has happened to us too, and it is the most hearbreaking thing. I am losing about 1lb a week now. Seems I can fit more food into my pouch now.
I eat soy nuts instead of peanuts and they seem to satisfy my cravings for salt.
Everyone have a great week!!
