What is everyone going to be this Halloween?
Ok gang. I have to say, I am pretty excited this year. My husband and I have been invited to an adult Halloween party in the neighborhood. Now that i can actaully fit into a costume, I am wondering what i should go as. Im in a 14/16 right now, so what size is that? Like a L or XL? Anyway, let me know what ya'll are gonna be this year and if anyone is flaunting anything sexy...
Hope everyone is well.....

I am actually excited to be dressing up this Halloween. I always do it with the kids, but this year I can get an actual costume instead of just being a baby (my pj's) Or something with a cape. This year I am going as the Phantom of the opera. I found this idea at Hot Topic, while shopping with my teen daughter. I thought this would be pretty cool and no one should be able to recognize me. You can get any costume you want this year. Go wild and really enjoy yourself!! Happy Hauntings!
I am actually having my costume made this year and it will last me for a long time. My best friend is making a Rennaissance(sp) dress for me. It's Navy blue velvet with Lavender Satin for the under skirt and shirt. It is gorgeous and I can't wait to see it completed. I have had 2 fittings so far but she keeps having to take it in .
oooh, Melissa, I am sooo jealous! Paul and I were married at Excalibur in Vegas, and we dressed up in Rennaissance gear. It was Fab! I just purchased this goth baby doll dress thing from Hot Topic, XL. So, I hope it fits! I hope you post some pics of the dress, cuz I am very interested in her work. Maybe she can get some business afterwards, eh?
Take care,
Dawn
Dawn,
I will be happy to share posts when it's all done. It's going to be gorgeous and my friend actually went to college for fashion design so she does an amazing job. Plus while I am spending a pretty portion on material and a little for labor she is still not charging me what it would cost if I went to a Ren Fair and bought one. It will probably cost me around $150 when it's all done but it will be made to last too. She loves making them too so I will be happy to share her info if you are interested.
This year my hubby is setting up a haunted house and scare all the teenagers LOLI was just thinking what I could be ,, I mean I can actually fit into a costume ..
I was thinking sexy but I am not sure what my kids would think of that LOL.. sexy momma LOL in a hanted house..

My husband and I are going to a costume party too and im still clueless as what we should dress up as!
I am glad ill be able to pick something out and not wonder if ill be able to squeeze into it....but at the same time i am self conscious of certain areas of my body and certainly dont think i can get away with anything "sexy" .....i might have to go with something "cute", "funny" or "scary" instead. ....sexy ? maybe next halloween!
Im going to the costume store this afternoon, ill let y'all know what we've decided on!
I always go to work on Halloween dressed in black - normal, work clothes black, but I bring a broom in with me as well as my witch hat and a sign that says "The Witch is In" to hang outside my office door. However, I do a little more dressing for the trick-or-treaters. Last year I bought (over the internet) this long velvet hooded cloak thing, that was supposed to be for plus-sized women. Well, it really wasn't, and I've had it hanging in my closet all year. I pulled it out and tried it on a couple of weeks ago, and it looks really slinky and sexy, so I'm going to wear that, with the witch hat and my boots, and exotic makeup. Nothing scary, just fun. I'll try to get somebody to take a picture. Of course, considering it's velvet, I'm hoping that the weather will actually start to get cold.
I love Halloween. It and Christmas (what a combination!) are my two favorite Holidays!
