Flu?!?
Okay does the flu feel any different after surgery? This is Day 3 of me feeling like crap. I am exhausted and I keep getting gut pains. I will feel like I am absolutely starving and eat something (a nectarine and a piece of cheese) then I feel like I want to curl up into the fetal position. Okay so I am happy that I CAN curl up into the fetal position but that is beside the point.
I am tired of this stomach of mine. Everything upsets it. Can't my body decide that I just don't need to eat at all?
I quit reading the boards because I was so discouraged about my weight loss and everyone else was doing so good. So I kind of feel I have no right to even complain. But I am grumpy, I don't feel good and I don't know who to talk to.
Brandy
Don't get discouraged Brandy. I try to eat mostly protein foods and find that I eat the same things sometimes twice a day. I found things that agree with me and that is what I eat. I don't do fruit or I guess I haven't tried because of the need for protein. And fruit doesn't have any! It seems to be wortking for me. The surgical center I went to advised us to eat three 4oz meals a day and drink at least 64 oz of fluids. They recommend 65 grams or more of protein. Don't give up. It will get better. JanO
If I eat meat more than once a day I get sick, or if I eat meat that I cook I get sick too. Was never good at cooking meat. I can eat a little peanut butter, oatmeal, cottage cheese, cheese(not melted), and fruit. Sometimes I can handle scramble eggs. I have a hard time getting in liquids so the fruit helps with that too. I keep thinking I am doing good with this surgery because I don't throw up but I keep forgetting I hardly eat anything besides fruit and cheese because everything else has a chance of making me throwup. Doc keeps telling me it will get better, I just think I need to buy stock in Fuze and a cheese company.
