6 months today
It seems hard to believe we have hit our six month post op surgiversary. Some of us are very close to reaching goal and some of us still have a ways to go but we have all done such an amazing job. I am proud of us all. I am officially 3lbs away from my 100lbs since surgery loss and since things are falling off abit more slowly I am ok with this. I don't have my 6 month post op apt until the end of October because my surgeon is on vacation this month so I have a couple weeks to get to that point. I would really like to be at or around 150 by christmas so I am going to bust my butt then next 2 months to see if it's possible. I plan to be at goal of 140 before my 1 year surgiversary I want to be realistic and not set goals to high so that I can't achieve them and I think goal by 1 year is definitely achievable since it is only 26lbs aways. I am offically in the 160's now which I have not seen in about 13 years so I am pretty happy with how things are going for me at this point.
I just wanted to say congratulation to everyone on doing such a fantastic job on your journeys and keep up the great work
Happy Surgiversary!
I am also 26 lbs from my goal. I hit my 100 mark this past sunday.
I have actually had people tell me NOT to lose anymore because I am getting too skinny.
I have never been told that in my life. I keep telling them I am working towards having a normal BMI and then that will be enough for me.
I dont see a skinny me in the mirror though. I still have the "fat girl" syndrome. It's getting better, but it's still there.
Well, I just wanted to say hello and keep up the good work. We will be at goal by our 1 year anniversary
My present to myself for reaching goal is going to be my very first tattoo!

Cindy I still have "fat girl" syndrome too it's awful. People are always telling me how great I look etc but I still look in the mirror and go ew gross. I have a serious problem with saggy skin so that just makes it worse since my 4 year old likes to play with my jello arms and "old" legs as he calls them. You are doing fantastic maybe we will reach goal about the same time that would be great.

Thanks for the encouragement. I would love to be at goal by New Years but I am not going to pu**** I actually started my process on my birthday 1/25/06 and it would be an awesome feeling to hit goal by that date.
It has been an incredible 6 months that's for sure you are an inspiration with all that you have accomplished.
Congrats Melissa!!
That is great news and I am so happy for you!!
I still have 96.5 pounds to go, but I am happy with my 85.5 pound loss so far. I think I was one of the heaviest folks in here, and I gave myself two years to reach my goal of 140, so I am in no big hurry, just slow and steady.
keep up the good work!!

I know when my BMI went into being overweight I about cried but it felt so good. You are doing so awesome. I can't seem to remember what things have changed in my life but I know 6 months ago I wouldn't have been able to teach swim lessons work in a restuarant or go to school full time while doing 3 jobs and keeping up with 3 kids. I seem to be on the go all the time now where before I really didn't do much of anything. I can't wait till next summer I will have to get a whole new wardrobe
