Bad Food days

I know this is probably normal but it seems for the last couple days I have been unable to eat without getting really ill. I'm not eating anything out of the ordinary just normal food. I tried to have some brocoli for lunch but it's really making me sick. I have no idea what has brought this on since I rarely if at all dump regardless of what I attempt but do feel sick if I push my luck. I feel horrid after a couple bites since yesterday. I am also for the past week or two been getting severe headaches and dizziness almost passing out. It happens as I am walking around doing things or just getting up. Last night I was getting something out of the microwave and got so dizzy I dropped my fork with out realizing I was actually dropping it. I am getting a bit worried and am thinking I might need to go back to my doctor even though I just had my physical last week. I don't see my surgeon again until the end of October. Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Melissa, have you been getting plenty of water? Even mild dehydration in WLS patients can cause nausea and dizziness. I had the same symptoms this weekend, and after researching it, I really started pushing the fluids like crazy and felt a LOT better quite quickly.

Melissa; I just had a class with my group and the nurse was emphasizing that this type of things is NOT normal or expected. She did not want us suffering for days before finally calling in. MY advice, call right now so they can get to the bottom of it right away. I had a bit of a stomach-ache and she was all over me about it.

I am getting all my water in because at the moment it's the only thing that sits well I'm not getting sick at all but I sure feel sick to my stomache if I eat anything. I don't feel bad but man do those dizzy spells throw me for a loop. I can't seem to get 10 steps from my desk without grabbing ahold of something to stop me falling over. I am going to talk to my shrink on Monday and see if she has any ideas she is an MD as well so I will get her advise too. I have horrid headaches too which get really really bad when the dizzy spell**** I know last night and ropping the fork kind of scared me. Thanks for the support ladies.

I have been getting dizzy also. Turns out my blood pressure is very low and so is my heart rate. Don't wait, get in touch with your doc

I too have been really dizzy and somedays the food is hard to get down...others are ok. Please call your doc. I did, had my labs, which are fine, and made an appt to see the doc in a few weeks. He told me some of my fatigue and dizzyness are from all the weight loss and muscle loss, but that this will improve. Boy, I hope so, I am tired of getting up from a chair or the couch and feeling like I am going to fall over...in fact, I usually go and sit on the floor right away because I get really close to feeling like everything is going white/black or that I am near passing out. I know my BP is low. So, this makes it worse. If you are on BP meds, call your doc asap, it could be that you don't need the med anymore. Keep getting in some protein too, even if it means the pureed/liquid stuff. Good luck. Dianne
