Happy Birthday to me! With pic's.
Today I am celebrating my 44th birthday. There was I time (not that long ago) I thought I wouldn't live to see it. But the last few months for me have been FANTASTIC! I'm so glad I've taken control of my health (and my life) and am reaping the rewards today.
My wife and I just returned from the most FANTASTIC vacation. We spent a weekend in Los Angeles, and saw all the tourists sites. Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc. But the place we most enjoyed was the Getty Center. What a beautiful place. Truely, a national treasure. We also did a 4-day "bloat- float" aboard Royal Caribbean's, Monarch of the seas. I discovered a few things. 1.My pouch still works. ( a couple of dumping episodes). 2. I get drunk really easy (even on Champagne... embarassing) 3. I CAN eat responsibly in a buffet, and gourmet, environment.
I've posted some new pic's on my profile. Feel free to check them out. It's nice to be home, and back with my A-team, partners -in-health.

Happy Birthday David! It sure looks like your trip was soooo much fun. It is interesting to see how we transition into a more mainstream lifestyle. I am able to eat out also but typically I do not order any food since it seems a waste-just eat off of hubby's plate.
So, how did it feel to be able to be active and do any activity you felt like instead of just what you could in the past?
My hubby refuses to stop at buffets. Says it woud just be a waste of money!
Again Congrats to my fellow "1963" baby.

Happy Birthday I understand what you mean by getting drunk easy. My husband says that I am now a really cheap date! LOL I got drunk before I even finished the first drink I had. Any way glad to hear that you had a nice vacation, and even gladder to hear that you will probably be around for a few dozen more birthdays (thanks to RNY).
Happy B-day to you! You look fantastic and your wife is super-cute in the baja photo. Thanks for sharing all of these, including the beatiful shots of the getty center. My brother lives in West Hollywood and I always see that thing on the hill but have never made it up there.
Have a great week.
