slowing down, what to do?
Ok, so if we are all experiencing the same slow down, that means we all must be doing the same thing. My question is...what do we all need to do to get back on track and start losing more.
Do I go back to absoutly no carbs?? No fruit? No veggies? My nut said some carb is ok at the end of the meal, so yes there are plenty of times where I have a bite or two, but is this what is slowing me down??
Should I just be doing yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs?? I'm so confussed!! Please tell me what we all need to be doing to get back on the Fast track.

I've found that whenever I have more than 40g of carb on a regular basis, I slow way down. I've been keeping my carbs in the 20-30 range and find that I'm still losing 2-4# per week! Also, make sure you get your protein in - that way your body prefers to digest fats vs taking the protein from you muscles!

I've been losing and then plateauing off and on since the surgery. I will go as long as four weeks without losing and then 15 pounds will drop within a week. I continue to notice my body reshaping even though I am not losing weight so I think that its just my metabolism doing its thing. I don't eat alot of carbs and try to concentrate on proteins (no shakes but cheese and meat and soy protein). And being hydrated is what keeps my energy up I have figured out.
Has anyone else tried EmergenC vitamins? I take one or two of those a day on the advice of a Naturopathic Physician I know and it keeps my energy up. I think they're working. I take 1500 calcium w/800 mg of Vitamin D and then 400 more of Vitamin D.
Not sure if I am overdoing it but want to be safer than sorry later.

I absolutely have to limit my carbs. If I eat carbs more than once a day I will gain.
Also, when I up my water I lose more consistantly. During the week while I'm working I don't get enough water in and I don't lose. Then on the weekends I drink a lot of water and I will lose 2lbs on the weekend. Some days I go back to strictly soft protiens and jump start my loss that way.

I am trying all these things. After losing consistantly, this past week and a half have been torture. I know I had two big weeks in a row and my body is catching up. However, it is really starting to bug me.
I upped my cardio. I am drinking more water. I have cut back on my carbs and that darn scale won't move anyway but up. I know, I know this is typical and a lot have you have gone through it. I hear it in my head but it is my emotions that do not want to accept.
I know I should stay away from the scale. As an admitted addict who has given up all her other addictions-I cannot seem to stay away..
