Ok, I'm wonderin' how everyone has handled milk so far. It has pretty much been banned from my diet, so I haven't tried it yet. BUt I am really craving some!!!!! Did it make any of you dump? Are you able to keep it down at all? Give me the scoop, cuz I;m too chicken to try it right now

I have no problem with milk. When I drink a glass of skim milk I add 1/3 cup powdered skim milk to it for increased protein,,,,and a thicker feel. I would suggest you try a small amount and see how you do with it.

Fat free milk or skim milk is the best. I have been drinking it for a long time. I mix my protein drinks with it. It is also an excellent protein source. I know some Dr's in the states won't let their post ops touch it, I'm not sure what their reasoning is, but in Canada we are encouraged to drink it for the protein and the calcium. Jody

I love a nice cold glass of skim milk with a protein bar! Sometimes I even have a sugar free peanut butter cookie with my glass of milk and it's delicious! I always mix skim milk in with my instant oatmeal or cream of wheat instead of water so I can get the added protein. I seem to tolerate milk quite well! Let us know how milk works for you!

I mix my protein powder in with skim milk for my protein shakes. Haven't had any problems with milk at all. I've been drinking it from the start.

My doctor wants me to drink 3 cups of milk a day and I can add protein mix to it if I want. I am unable to tolerate milk though so it's tough. I have tried sugar free pudding and some cheese but they don't sit well either so I don't get alot of dairy products like I should.

I love milk and crave it so much some times, but each time i have had any dairy i've regretted it. I dont necessarily dump, but i do curl up in a ball on my bed and whimper for about a 1/2hr. For some reason i can eat a small bowl of cheerios with only enough milk in it to wet the cereal and seem to do fine. I was always a big milk and icecream lover so its hard to watch my family enjoy those sometimes. Either way though, any time i try i regret it....so its definitely not worth it to me. i can eat cheese just fine though..?? weird, right?
