back pain still here!!!!
My back hurts so bad I can hardily walk! Which sucks since I just started school and working out every day.
I feel awesome except my back is killing me right now for the last 3 weeks. I go to the Dr on Friday and I am now seeing a chiro. It looks like a inflamed disk and thats why the pain radiates down my legs. he gave me a heating pad and some stuff called the cats claw(kinda like bengay) I go back tomorrow for adjustments and stuff. They think it has to do with the rapid weight loss and core being out of whacked!
I can definatly feel your pain. I find laying on my stomache and proping myself up as far as I can on my elbows over and over for a 10 count helps. And then sitting on the excersize ball and lifting each leg alternatively for 10 counts until I can't go on helps. Those are a couple of things my physical therapist gave me. Walking also helps loosen things up. I would request muscle relaxers if they will allow them they help alot. I have 3 bulging discs in my lower back and also 2 degenerative discs which are 2 of the 3 bulging discs. I know all about the pain you are in and I hope it's a simple process to relieve your pain. I know the first few months of weight loss I was in alot of pain too. It's awful.
My hubby had same trouble with his back and ended up falling and pulling a ligament and ended up in physical therpy .
He also discoved he has osteoperosis and has this hump curved back and undetected scolosis and is now wearing a brace and taking boniva .. hard to beleive his weight covered up a serious medical problem tell the fat melted away and revealed a shocking discovery ,, so much for obesity prevents osteoporosis
Good luck on your back and hope it will get better real soon

Yes the pain you are feeling is from the rapid weightloss. and you know what the more you lose the less it will hurt,,,Years ago I lived with this pain for 5 years until I got heavier..then it went away until now and I have this pain everyday. What you have is sciatic nerve pain. It is caused from the fat that used to be around the nerve is gone and just like you said your discs in your lower back are off. After I couple visits to the Chiroprator I hope that you feel better..One thing I do is before I leave my bed I take some tylenol and then I lay on the floor and do some lower back exercises. Ask your Chiro. about these they do help....I am so sorry that you are having this pain....
