almost 5 months out
Hi Amy,
I will be 5 months out on the 2nd of Sept. I feel great most of the time. A little tired but that is more related to my life than to surgery. I just had the eating conversation with my nutritionist this week and she wants me between 900-1200 calories per day and 90-100g of protein until I hit one year. That equates to about 3 meals and 2 snacks, and maybe a non-fat latte. Hope that helps.
I will be 5 months out on the 2nd.. WOW already. This is my normal day
Breakfast is a protein shake 20oz of water and 1 to 1/2 scoops of nectar protein.
snack will be a protein bar zone perfect peanut butter and chocolate.
Lunch is a spicy schewan with chicken from weigh****chers smart ones.
dinner is usually now a lunch able Jr with turkey and mozz and crackers yummy.
I will usually have another protein shake or sometime a bar.
I do snack on some fruit pineapple, strawberry or red grapes. (I don't dump so I can Handel sugar )
I feel awesome except my back is killing me right now for the last 3 weeks. I go to the Dr on Friday and I am now seeing a chiro. It looks like a inflamed disk and thats why the pain radiates down my legs.
Hi Amy, I'll be 5 months out on Sept. 4. I'm feeling great about my weight loss, and can eat pretty much anything in moderation, except for greasy food, dense breads like bagels or English muffins, overcooked eggs, or dry meats. I can eat about a cup of food, depending on the water content. If it's something solid like chicken, I can only eat about 4 bites. Unfortunately, pasta and crackers and granola go down way too easily, and are trigger foods for me, so I do my best to completely avoid them. I'm quite anemic right now and am having a hard time bringing my iron levels up, so I've been feeling really tired. I'm sleepy and sluggish pretty much all the time. Also, my arthritis is very bad right now, much worse than pre-surgery. Working out in any form except for swimming is almost impossible because of this. My doctor told me that some people have flareups and muscle aches while losing large amounts of weight, and I guess that applies to me. My hair is still falling out a bit, but nearly as much as a few weeks ago. I haven't thrown up in a few weeks and really know my food limits now. How about you? How are you doing?
