Ok, I'm sorry to rant, but I can't take it anymore. For the past month, everything seems to be going wrong with me. First, everytime I eat, I get sick. I get hot, nauseaus, and light headed. My doctor, my pcp not my surgeon, thought it might be hypoglycemia, but it turns out it isn't and he has no idea why I am getting sick. Then my pcp pokes at my stomach and I have a pain on the top left side. He thinks I might either have tumors or hernias (multiple). Then he gets my blood work back and tells me that not only is my potassium dangerously low, but my liver enzymes are dangerously high. Now I have to have an ultrasound to see what's wrong with my liver or my gallbladder. Also, my hair is starting to fall out a lot and my weight loss has slowed to a snails pace! On top of all this, it is making me NUTS that I can't drink while I eat. I thought I could handle it, but it is getting really really hard. I apologize again for ranting, but is anyone else feel like they are falling apart????

Well probally with all the weight loss you gave your poor gallbladder a work out and it is usually first thing to go after wls and scream UNCLE.. Hope they r giving u potassium supplements .. for ya if not ask why not???? I cannot ever drink and eat or i will puke .. like no tommorrow and the pain will kill me .. I know when I was having sludge not gall stones in my gall bladder and it was acting up I went on fat free diet for a week and I drank water by the gallons and some reason it arrested my symptoms and never acted up again.. but then my sister who is a doctor told me try that for a few days can't hurt u.. but eating a fat free diet is not easy trust me .. ask your doctor see what he thinks. I have fat tumors is that what he means by tumors? They can hurt but very normal with substational weight loss i was told. hugs Lisa

I am so sorry to hear of the problems that you are having. I will pray that the doctor's will be able to figurie out what the problem is soon. I am also losing a lot of hair. My bathroom floor is covered in my hair! Yuck! I am going to hold on to what the long tern posters say and the hair lose should stop in another month or two. Hang in there! It should get better soon!

I, too, feel lousy most of the time.I am almost constantly nauseous. Yesterday, I was unable to get anything down. I felt like I had a stricture and everything was just kind of laying in my chest. It was so uncomfortable.I can always feel my insides, they are still sore to the touch. And then there are my many episodes of wretcing, but hopefully we found a cure for that .On a good day, I eat very little. My intake is tiny, but that's OK. I also have a hard time getting my fluids and protein in because I rarely feel like eating. I am hoping all of this will get better. I certainly hope yours does, too Shar

Hi Kimberly, I am so sorry you are having troubles and I hope the ultrasound leads to a solution for you. My weight loss is very slow, only about 8-10 pounds a month compared to some, but I try not to compare. Hang in there and think of it this way, if we lose slower maybe we'll sag a little bit less than if we'd lost faster. Please let us know what you find out from your ultrasound. Hugs, Inky

hugs to you! I hope you feel better soon and they find out whats going on. Did your dr have you take actigall? It helps keep you from having gallbladder promblems while you lose weight? I only had to take it for 3 months. Good luck and keep us posted. dee

I'm so sorry you're going through this-no wonder you're frustrated! I'm sorry that I don't have any insight into your symptoms, although I can certainly relate to the annoyance of not drinking while eating. And, I too have lost a lot of hair. Hang in there and don't give up hope-hopefully the potassium and liver issues will get resolved soon and you'll start feeling better. My thoughts are with you-I'm sending you happy, healing vibes! Please make sure to keep us posted!

Kimberly, I am so sorry that you are having a hard time right now, I understand the frustration that comes with WLS sometimes, so much is changing at one time. Just take it one day at a time and things will get better. Roz

Thank you all for your well wishes. I am going for an abdominal ultrasound on Thursday and meeting with my surgeon after that, so I will keep you posted as to what happens. Thanks again.
