It's Official.......

I have done it....offically.... I went through my closet and got out all of my fat clothes. I am done with them and I am getting rid of them. I don't ever want to see any of them again. Even the brand new ones. I am not hanging on to them because I didn't get my money's worth out of them.....they are offically GONE!!!!!! I will never be a 30-32 with a size 28 jeans again. I almost cried, but couldn't decide if they were tears of joy, fear, or sadness. I am so emotional now that I don't know what to do with myself. My poor husband, he is thinking that I am loosing my mind along with my weight. I will be there one day where I can accept my weightloss and my divorce from my fat that cushioned my bruises. I love that I am loosing weight, but I am scared of what I will look like when I am done. Will I be saggy? Will my husband still think that I am beautiful? (Which I know he will, but it's one of my fears). I just take it day by day and learn the quirks of my new body.

HI Tiffany!!! This is a guy speaking I would keep at least one pair to remind you where you were so you never go back there again. This is not a fix all and you can regain weight but if you look at them every day or at least once a week you will remember how you felt then and keep going forward and on track just a suggestion. Take care and keep up the great work. Robert

Hey Tiff - That's awesome!! I did the big closet purge this weekend too. It made me a little sad, but just because I am losing so fast that there were things I only wore once or twice. I can't complain though, that's why we did this right? Anyway, the other poster is right, you may want to hold onto one of those pairs of size 28's. You'll need them to do those dramatic pictures where tiny you holds up the mega jeans and everyone can say "woooowwwwww!!" PS - I doubt you'll be saggy. You're a youngster. I'm going with copious amounts of lotion and working out. My stomach actually looks pretty good (for now anyway, talk to me in six months ) Congrats!! You're doing fabulous!!!

Good for you, Tiffany! I know how you feel-it's a very mixed bag of emotions as we let go of our stuff! It's hard to do, but also very liberating. Congratulations on going for it. I have had two closet purges so far, and really need to do another one. I'm having a hard time letting go of my winter stuff, because I keep thinking I'll need it, but of course nothing will fit when it finally gets cold here. Anyway, we're all in this together, and these changes are good, no matter how painful they can be! Take care, Lisa

It's a good liberating feeling to get rid of all those clothes, isn't it? Learning the quirks of a new leaner body is far better than dealing with and planning your life around the flaws of an unhealthy and unhappy body, right? Congrats to you on your milestone!

Can u come over and do mine???????????? I got no room in my closet for a fat woman and a women losing weight clothes so the fat clothes have to go I have my jeans that r size 28 and this huge tent dress I wore to remind me what 54 lbs looked on me .. and I will never be that fat again.. I lost a small child when u think of how much weight I lost .. I hope to lose a model soon and then I hope to be half the woman I use to be. well one good thing about having the lap band is we will sag less then those of RNY but then they do lose sooooooooooooooo much faster it's a double edge sword no matter how u look at it, My hubby is almost 1 year out and he really sagged really bad but now that he is year out he is less saggy but he is gonna need plastic surgery to help his stomach but to be honest he looks good to me I rather have the boob job LOL hugs Lisa

Hey Tiff- I totally agree to save at least one pair of jeans. I know me personally I got ride of all my winter fat clothes back when I was only a week out from surgery. I had my mom here helping with the kids so I recruited her to help me. I too have been an emotional mess. I thought lossing this much weight I would be high as a kite and so happy. But instead it has made me worry and be more critical about my body. I worry about saggy skin afterwards. My breasts keep getting smaller but they still have all the extra skin, and gravity doesnt help. My husband jokes around with me telling me I need help. Mental help that is. lol I never thought that losing (70 pounds since surgery, 96 total) would make me ride a emotional roller coaster. Hang in there, and tell your hubby good luck Trish
