Please pray for the Oliver Family...

My hometown is hosting the Dixie World Series Baseball tournament for 9-10 yr olds and the 11-12 yr olds. Teams have come from VA, NC, TN, LA, AL, AK, TX, FL and MS. Yesterday a NC 9-10 yr was found at the bottom of the hotel pool!!! He was given CPR and taken to a local hospital, then airlifted to UVA and now in the Pediatric ICU unit. One of his family members has a pacemaker and due to the stress has ended up in the hospital as well. The little boy was not doing so well by Sunday night...but with lots of prayers and the Lord's will...he is showing great improvements today...responding to questions with eyes blinking...has ~60% ability to breathe...once he gets to 70% they'll remove the breathing tubes. The big danger now is that he has so much fluid in his lungs. Opening Ceremonies were scheduled for 7:30 last night and the organization offerred to cancel the program out of respect for what had happened. The NC team was greatful but said 'no way, let the ceremonies continue.' When they gave us an update at the stadium - there wasn't a dry eye to be found. The NC team got several long standing ovations. So, please keep the Oliver family and the NC team in your prayers this week.
