Clothing Sizes
So I have finally broken down and decided I needed a few things that actually fit me with out being able to fit another person inside my pants with me. I went to Gordman's to take advantage of the tax free weekend and tried on a pair of capri's I picked up 2 pairs a size 16 and a size 14 I find a 16 a bit big and a 14 a bit tight so I wanted to see if I should by both pairs. The 16's fit perfect so they went to the buy pile and then the 14's get this were to big. How on earth can a 16 fit and a 14 be to big. I was so confused but I still liked that the 14 didn't fit because it was to big and not to small. I also picked up a new top a size XL and it fits too. I so love being able to buy normal size clothes. I said I would be happy if I got down to a size 12 I never thought it would only take 6 months to get there. I am so excited just had to share.
btw I know alot of ladies are loosing clothing sizes and if anyone is in need of size 24's and 22's I have a ton of clothes I have some really cute skorts size 3 x that I can't wear either just let me know if you are interested.
I would love some clothes!! I have been blessed with still wearing the same size clothes. How does one lose 75 pounds and still wear 24/26 and some 28? The only good part is being self pay I have no extra money to buy clothes. Humm maybe thats why I am in the same size?
I think that is soo awesome that you can wear normal size clothes!! I can't wait till I get there! Congrats to you!
I love the feeling of buying new clothes, but at the same time I hate it. I have to dress professionally at work, so buying suits gets pretty expensive. I hit JcPenny last month, and spent about $300. Well, lo and behold the pants are now to big!!! Ugh! So, I am debating the cost effectiveness of having them taken in, or just buying a new pair. Anyone know how much tailoring costs these days?
Congrats on losing so many sizes!! I started out in a 22 and am now consistantly buying 16's. I don't buy very much but I LOVE new clothes and I la la love to shop (now). The new clothes part of this is going to cost me more than the surgery
I have some size 20 jeans that I would be happy send out to whoever needs them...Dee?

I am always up for clothes! I will eventually be in a 20? I don't have the money to shop so you guys are not only my support but my clothing exchange!! I will someday get caught up? It is the one job with a family of 4 and a new car payment(my surgery) each month. IO IO so off to school I go! LOL
I envy you all. I started out in 32/34 and now I am finally into 22/24 and 26/28 (because of tummy) so I would be very happy to get whatever you may want to share. I went out this weekend and bought some new clothes, because the other were too big, and my mom told me I was looking a sight!
Dee, I too can still wear my 32/34 but they are swimming on me. If you went shopping you would be surprised at what size you are actually fitting.

I couldn't agree more. I am down 60 lbs and was still wearing my 26/28 stuff. It was sagging on me but I didn't think it was enough for me to get a smaller size. But I went shopping with a friend and pulled out a pair of 24 capri's.. I was feeling brave and figured they wouldn't fit. They where too big!!! I know it wasn't the cut because they where the same brand and style as my 26's. I then sheepishly took a size 22 and could fit them. That was 3 weeks ago and I havn't lost any weight, but they are getting loose on me. It is amazing. I am thankful for RNY... and for a positive shopping exerpiance.
