When do schools start in your neighborhood?

It's that time again...August...summer winding down and time to get ready for school. Our school system starts Aug 20th., so the boys only have 2 more weeks of vacation. Andrew starts high school this year and is playing JV football. They have been weight lifting all summer, but the football practices started Aug 1st... 3-4 hours a day...so he sort of feels like school has already started. Christopher will be starting middle school this year. They're both excited, but a little nervous. Last year, they were both 'top dogs' in their schools...this year, they're both 'little peons'. I can't believe how fast the time goes by...be sure to take time to enjoy every minute of it...even when the schedules get crazy, all the practices, all the games, all the events, sleepovers and running around town. For one day, all to quickly, it will be over and they'll be grown and gone.

My daughter starts Aug 23rd. 8th grage already . I can't believe she will go to High School next year. Where does the time go? And more importantly...how does she get older and I don't??? lol

Well my daughter starts back Sept. 4th and wow 6th grade,,

lol shar!!!! Mine start on the 16th. hope is going to kindergarten and nick 1st grade I am going to miss my partner in crime!! We always hung out when nick was gone now it will be just me

My daughter goes back on 8-20. She is going in to 5th grade! We are in crunch time to get all of her summer projects done! This is late for us down here in Florida. We are getting a little extra summer!

Skylar starts High School on the 21st, and has already started show choir practice and football practice several hours a day. Tristan will be in Kindergarten on the 20th and Julian will be starting Pre K on September 4th. I have all school clothes bought just need major school supplies.

My kids start back on September 5th. Joey, my 2 year old was just enrolled in a preschool program and also starts 9/5. I have 2 starting 8th grade, one starting middle school (6), one going into 5th and one going into 2nd. My daughter (7) has already started cheering practice, 3 nights a week! Once we are back in school 2 of my boys belong to the cadet corps. Thankfully that is only 2x a month. Then we have to throw in there time for homework, socializing, and band practice. All in all a busy school year. There are days when I look forward to the grown and gone stage and then reality sets in, that it will happen way to fast and before I blink they will not want to spend any time with us. It is a double edged sword and either way I lose. Either they are little and driving me nuts with their whining, and their impossible schedules or they are grown and have no time for me.

My Kids start Aug 20 .. My youngest starts 4th grade have one starting jr high 7th one starting high school 9th and one as a senor in HS The rest are in college start Aug 20 aswell except my oldest daughter which by the way I have to brag here she passed her nursing inclex exam and is now licence RN so she will start her new job as a labor and delivery nurse Aug 20 big day here Aug 20 so on Aug 20 I am gonna take a bubble bath and put some music on and relax and await a call someone forgot something LOL Lisa

Lisa - congratulations to your daughter on getting her license and starting her new job. L&D will be a special unit for her, I'm sure.
