This is rare coming from me...
I am happy to be losing but lately I have been depressed...Anyone else having this feeling like something is wrong. I know I am usually a happy go lucky person but man I am upset with how my weight has not moved a whole lot and it seems like everyone else is still doing so good. What am I doing wrong??? Well enough of this... I am sorry but I needed to tell someone how I am truely feeling.. Thanks for listening
Goood Morning,
I read that you started working out last week, you are probably gaining muscle again. After your body gets use to the change you will probably start losing again. I notice since I didn't do my 40 min walks a day this week I was losing a pound a day and knew it had to be muscle weight I was losing.
Hang in there and keep your head up you have come a LONNNNNGGGGG way and look great!!
Hang in there Crystal - you know it will get better. Remember you have had 2 recent changes...working out and changing scales. Did the 2 scales weigh the same to begin with? My husband and 2 sons are doing W****chers and they changed scales on them one week and the new scales had them weighing more by 2 pds. I had a 3 week stall one time and it was very depressing especially when I was use to seeing the #'s change every other day by at least 1/2 pd. Stay with what you know...protein, water and exercise and you're scales will reward you.
Hi Crystal - I am sure its not as bad as you think. We all feel that way. I just blogged about a 2 day pity party I threw for myself
I think that if you are really concerned, you should talk to your surgeon (or his nurse or whoever does the aftercare). They deal with this procedure ALL the time and can tell you more accurately if you are on track. I listen to my docs office before anyone else. As long as they say I am doing good, I feel content. Good luck!
Hey Crystal, you have lost a HUGE amount of weight! You've gone from super morbidly obese to just Obese. That's incredible! You are doing just fine-it's normal for the weight loss to slow down. You still have many more months of losing ahead of you, so just relax and congratulate yourself. As hard as it is, you've GOT to stop comparing yourself to others. And by what measure are you a slow loser? We're considered a medical success if we lose 1/2 of our excess weight, and you're already there only 4 months out. You're doing great!
hang in there Crystal! I had a period where I didn't lose anything for 3 entire weeks! Only recently, since I've been hitting the gym regularly 2 or 3 days a week, have I seen any significant loss. I know we are supposed to get rid of our old clothes, but I have kept some outfits. When I am down, I put them on and marvel at the difference in such a short time. I know when I have dieted in the past, I certainly wasn't this successful! Anyway, I hope you fell better and I hope you get everything you want for your birthday!!!!
