Im starting to notice that clumps are coming out in the shower. I have TONS of hair, so im not too worried, but it does concern me to some degree. A girlfriend of mine is a hair stylist and she recommended i use Nioxin shampoo. She said its for thinning hair and that her clients rave about it. Apparently it is very effective. Also, i know someone that uses Nioxin because of her thinning hair. She swears by it and once bought a whole case of it just because she insisted she would be bald without it and didnt want to ever run out. .....hmm...must work pretty good? Ill give it a try!

wow!! its nice to see that I'm not the only one. I have been losing hair big time. I'm 3 months out and clumps of hair come out even if I touch my hair. I didnt know there were other vitamins that I could or should be taking. I take Bioton bit didnt know there were others to take. I personally am not getting enough protien....I'm having a hard time finding a protien shake that I like. Trish

I am starting to lose some hair. Mine is very thick and curly so it doesn't show yet. I am unsure if it is from the surgery or just the shedding I do once a year. Freaked me out a bit. When I had hubby check it out he just scoffed and said it didn't amount to anything. I am a bit sensitive. After losing my ass last week and now the girls have decided to deflate a bit (just in the last 4 days) my vanity is taking some hits. When I was heavy, I didn't even look in a mirror. Now that I have lost weight and I'm starting to look good, thi****s. Yuck. Would I do the surgery again-IN A HEARTBEAT.

Yea I too have very thick hair so I dont even see a difference in my hair, but I do get large clumps all the time. I too have lost my butt and the girls. I never really judged myself as much as I do now. I feel like having this surgery is great dont get me wrong, but I am soooo critical of myself. Since surgery I have lost over 60 pounds. and all I can do is look at the bad parts of my body. I went from a size 26 to 16/18 and I still only see the "big" girl I was.

My hair used to be really thick. On one of my "fad" diets, a doctor told me I was losing my hair because I was in starvation mode... I was a vegetarian at the time. He yelled at me and told me I just can't do that (become a veg), so I started eating meat again. My hair never recovered. Now i'm losing it again - trying not to bru**** too much - once a day in the am... Going to a friends to let her give me a trim tonight... it's already short. I can't style it as I used to... now just let it lay down hippie style and hope it'll cover the sparseness but i know some days it's really noticable. I wish I had the cahonies to shave it all off. I used to be a clown and hated dealing with the wig all the time, so I don't think I'll be going down that path any time soon.... yep - I'd still do the surgery, in a heartbeat.

I am loosing lots of hair and unfortunately I want to let it grow! 2 years ago I cut 18 inches off and donated it to locks of love after my CABG (coronary artery bypass surgery s/p an MI) in 2005...my hair just isn't growing back like it did...oh well...I wouldn't trade my weight loss for less hair loss, so if I loose it all I guess I will just get out the clippers again!

I will be 6 months post op on August 27th. Prior to surgery I had thin fine hair, and I still do just less of it. It is currently coming out in clumps and is totally freaking me out! While I am sooooooo pleased with the weight loss and as of last month my hair looked really good this month I am beginning to wonder if I am going to be bald. I have been having to clean my hair brushes every other day due to the amount of hair I am losing. I know it is supposed to get better, but what if it doesn't?? I am so glad I am not the only one going through this. Kim
