My first post here!
Wow thanks everyone for the warm welcome!!! I do eat sashimi, but Mostly the rolls... I know I said no carbs, but the rice they have with sushi doesn't bother my pouch at all. I've been pretty brave lately.. I eat mostly the tuna rolls, and spicy tuna rolls. I guess I can eat about 4 rolls, and I'm pretty much FULL. My workout routine consits of 45 minutes of the "circut" which is mostly the arm and leg machines. then I do 30 minutes on the elliptical, and 30 minutes on the tredmill. I'm usually there for about 2 hours. I take the weekends as my recovery days. I enjoy going to the gym, and i stay strict to my routine most of the time. I'm the same way with my eating. I eat the same things on the week days.... breakfast : protein shake snack : low fat string cheese lunch : either chicken or turkey snack: protein shake and then for dinner it's up in the air. On the weekends I let myself go a little, I need some flexability in this, or I'd go crazy. I have to stay on that schedule, or I forget to eat. terrible lol isn't it? I try to eat every 3 hours. The weekends like i said, i rely a lot on protein bars suring the day, but for dinner i usually go out, or make something here.
I look forward to getting to know all of you....
Mary,
I'm so glad you stopped lurking and joined us - you are an incredible inspiration. Also, if anyone disagrees, I know they'll pipe in, but at 23 you have so much more life and love(s) ahead of you. I'm sure your ex had some positive points, but you will probably find that this was one of the best decisions you will ever make for yourself.
Also, if you are anything like me, walking away from carbs is 100 times harder than walking away from a man! LOL. I actually walked away from a 5-year relationship in November, and it was pretty good. I just knew that I was going to go through this process alone and fully aware of me, by myself, and MY needs, so it had to be done.
Anyway, I applaud all of your success w/ surgery and life's decisions in general.
It's so good to have you join us.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.
