Like Jessica, chili is my power food-I eat it a lot! Here are other lunch ideas that work for me: Egg or chicken or tuna salad on half a piece of whole wheat toast or crackers Hummus with whole wheat or sesame crackers ham or turkey rolled up with light cream cheese and a slice of red pepper or a pickle inside Lentil soup with a little cheese A few turkey meatballs (you can either buy ready-made or make your own) with marinara sauce and cheese Crustless quiche or an omelette A slice of meatloaf with gravy or red sauce Spaghetti sauce with meat/sausage on top of some spaghetti squash. (Take a whole squash, poke holes in it with a fork, microwave for 20 minutes or so. Cut open and scoop out the seeds to throw away. The rest comes out like spaghetti and is low-carb and pouch friendly) Stir fry with dark meat chicken and lots of cabbage and broccoli, no rice Any Indian food without the rice Bear Naked peak protein granola with yogurt or milk Ka****LC roasted almond crunch granola bars Best of luck! My hubby will grill a big steak and then give me a little portion of it. I cut it up really thin and sautee it with onions, mushrooms, whatever veggies I have on hand and put it over a little brown rice with a little soy sauce to taste....oh yum! Steak seems to go down a lot easier than chicken. Try salads with meat & eggs in it. Frozen dinners are a lifesaver when in a hurry. Egg salad or Tuna salad are easy & fast too... spread it on wheat toast or just eat it by the spoonful.
