A-team Chi-town Skinnyfest 2008

I am open to anything really sine it's only about 2 1/2 hours away from here. I am actually going to be in Chi town in September sometime .

I bet we can get a block of hotel rooms for a reduced rate (like they do in advance for weddings). Do we want to decide on a date? Weekend of May 2-4? Most people on their first trip like to stay at Palmer House Hilton (middle of everything). I personally like the Sofitel Water Tower (just North of everything). I am guessing that a good rate downtown would run about $150-180/night. Is that too pricey? I may be a little warped on pricing since I have lived here all my life and everything is so stinkin' expensive.

Just my opinion, but......I think a downtown hotel would be very costlly. We could find a place, maybe Rosemont which is close to the airport. Prices would be a lot cheaper also.

So far my May 08 Calendar is wide open! I do agree that we should pick a date and maybe look into hotel pricing for those of us that must travel. I am excited already! HE HE !!

Pick a weekend and I'll be there. I'll see if I can borrow Clark Griswald's cousin Eddies motor home for the weekend. Sounds like fun. DD

Wait a minute - I'm all for a reunion, but isn't it still cold as all heck in Chicago in April? How about Las Vegas? Or even Texas. Somewhere where there will be 0% chance of having to mingle with snow. I mean, really - it sounds cold. Vegas is 70-85 in April and is just awesome. You can wear your skinny shorts and hit the pool. So, i guess that's one sad little vote for Vegas (or Dallas, LA, Florida, New Orleans) South of the Mason-Dixon.

We are going to do it in May, so everyone has reached their 1 year. The weather is beautiful in May

Count me in!!! I told my husband about it last night and he said " We should go " I have been to Chicago but never got to really see Chicago, so we are going to make a little vacation out of it. Let me know when. I am free in May all except for Mother's Day. Cindy
