Major WOW and goal met

I had a major positive thing happen today. I had been cleared to run my horses at barrel races. Well, I went to one today and I WON! Yeahhhhhh!!!!! I had to stop running because my weight got so high I could not control what happened during my runs and turns. Last time I had tried I ended up in a bad wreck in front of my saddle horn. Today, my turns were smooth and I was able to stay centered and balanced. This barrel racing is something I have done for most of my life and not being able to do it was like cutting off my right arm. Winning today was just the bomb. It was an extra boost because it re-enforced all the work I have been doing as being worth it. I know not a lot of you ride but you can relate to getting to do something you haven't been able to do and succeed at it. I cannot think of anything else that could have boosted my self confidence like this did. Thanks for all of your support.

That's a fantastic wow moment that you are able to ride again. I know I haven't been on a horse in years because I felt to heavy. You must be thrilled to not only ride again but to compete and win that is even better.

woot-woot! that's one for the team!! you go girl is right!! i love horseback riding, but came close to falling off once, so lost courage. a walk or a little trot is good for me race on, baby race on!
