Lets talk tattoos......
In a nutshell, probably yes. Sad, I know, and trust me I have A LOT of ink!!
I've gained and lost 100 pounds in the past, and have seen them stretch and shrink, so if they are somewhere that skin doesn't sag as much (say your forearms, calves, upper back) then you will probably just see some shrinkage and possibly they will move a little in placement. If they are on your upper arms, thighs, boobs, butt, then you may see sagging along with shrinkage, as that is where the skin will have the most potential for sag.
This also depends a great deal on your age, genetics and your skin itself.
I know this isn't great news, and trust me, over the several years it took me to get up the nerve to have RNY, the tattoo issue weighed (haha!) heavily (bigger haha!) on me. But I look at it this way, eventually it would get all saggy if I lived long enough to get wrinkly, but at 322 pounds, that was unlikely, so now, fine, I'm 47 years old, in a year I'll be thinner than ever in my adult life and so I'll be a little saggy, but I plan to wear it like a badge of honor for the history of my body and skin. And I"m getting new ink every 50 pounds in those places with less sag potential! First the panther on the forearm for strength, next 50 is either some cherries on my calf or a string of "barrel of monkeys" on my calf, following 50 will probably be near my goal weight and that one is a whacked out crazy looking scale with my goal weight as the numbers, also on my calf. I got plans baby!!
So, I wouldn't worry too much, if its really ugly you could cover it up, have it removed (i've seem much better removal results lately) or just get it fixed up a little bit. A good tattoo artist can help you with that more than you think.
Enjoy the ink, it travels with you forever like your own art gallery and for me, it's the only thing that is MINE MINE MINE.
I hope that helped

I really can't since I've personally never had any removed, but if I were going to do that I would start with a qualified plastic surgeon or someone who does laser treatments.
I'd definitely want to see a portfolio of before and after stuff.
I do know that removal has quite a bit to do with the coloring and depth of the original tattoo. Older more faded ones remove better than some tribal type stuff, or very dark tattoos.
Good luck and I'd love to see some before and after pics if you do have a tattoo removed.
Inky
I did have one removed. It was on my ankle. Let me tell you, 10x as painful and 35x more expensive! I'm not kidding. Tattoo cost me $35, removal cost me about $1,200. This was about 6 years ago, so maybe prices have gone down. Yep, that's right, I'm 29 and had a tattoo removed 6 years ago!! Talk about quick regret. Got it to rebel as soon as I turned 18 and despised it by the time I was 20. Stupid!! I would show pictures but you cannot see anything on my ankle now and I don't have any pictures of the tattoo itself.
Mothers, if your children want to get tattoos, I'm happy to talk to them
Just kidding!!
I actually think that tattoos are really cool. I just think you should be mature enough to live with the decision when you get one. I was not.
